Yes, we will and it will be glorious.

On the one hand we will have The Mittani and his minions. It will go something like this:

Lo and behold, look upon thine enemy and smite them with thy sword fleet. Look how they run and avoid battle. They are near collapse, those lords of the scrubs. They were never want for the fight all along. Fly my goons, fly into the yonder of Fade and Deklein and rain down fire and brimstone upon their TCUs. Entosis like you've never entosised before.... yada, yada, yada

On the other hand will be what'sleft of MBC forces. They will go something like this:

All nerds login. Let's kill

In the time that Goons waited, listening to dear leader, they will have lost to the horde.

My fave thing about that series was the opening credits sequence which was basically a Leni Riefenstahl tribute.
It played martial music to quiet moments, then contrasted that with quiet music over battle scenes. Exactly like Triumph of the Will, with classical music accompanying tanks and soldiers, then war drums over domesticity and child rearing.
The joke, of course, is you're being shown how entertaining it is to have the form and content divorced from each other by someone who is educated and actually quite left wing. Ignorant schmucks find themselves stimulated by the same cynical tricks used decades before, never knowing that they could be herded happily into horror using primitive techniques.
Glorious speeches are boring in the strictest sense, they create tension without resolving it.

That film is worth watching, just to see the speeches by the party bigshots. They all look like a bunch of ignorant backwoods redneck sheriff's deputies.

The series is really good. A bit oversexed but else it's good.

Storywise nothing beats Babylon 5 though in my opinion... It aged a bit badly with the very early CGI graphics but in my opinion no SCIFI series has a better plot. It was written in one go.

You can see a lot of B5 in f the EVE back story.

The new one to keep an eye on is "The Expanse." This might be the best thing SyFY has put out in years. They just need to step up their production schedule.

I wish B5 wasn't rushed like it was. IIRC, the war with the Shadows was suppose to happen over a 10 year arc instead the rushed 5 year arc. It could have been so much better.

But it is a very good series to watch.

Even though Star Trek will always be the best Sci-Fi show (especially next generation which is awesome) I did like B5 alot and would recomend it.

Battlestar Galactica was a bit meh for me, to much pew-pew and not enough story and character development.

well depends what you think of payback? if your thinking titans and big ships,

I assume you're referring to the Rose-Tinted Bleach that I'd have to throw into my eyes* to make Battleshits Galactica's production values look halfway decent and not a Glen A. Larson knockoff from the Seventies...oh, wait Lol

Do the spectacles even work? You may want to get your prescriptions checked by a third party.

Just asking, because BSG wasn't ****, it was the shiznit.

@OP

I wouldn't draw parallels so quickly. Idk if you have seen the show yet, so I am not going to tell you what happens (although at this point I probably can't help a bit of foreshadowing) just that that speech essentially means: "Screw finding a place for humanity to survive, let's kill toasters until we are all dead".

It doesn't go down so well with what remains of humanity in the show and Rear Admiral Cain is generally quite an ass about achieving the means to make her ship ready for this "glorious last stand".

If you have watched the show... well, you know what happens to her plan and all that.
