at least 1 hour. or other kind of delay before being destroyed?

it is too easy to kill it right now, no moment to react and defend.

timer could bring more req. materials to build it, np
ccp was talking siphons gonna bring more grid gameplay, but they die so fast that gameplay didn't happens.

am really sorry i need to bump this one, but I thought a lot maybe am doing it wrong and i really need an advice. how i can defend these structures if i do on the moons in many systems? no reinforce timer, only a notification comes about kill mail. end, even no motivation try better.

they said gonna be gameplay ...

You are not supposed to "defend" Mobile Syphons.

You are supposed to use them on towers where you know the owner does not check in often (requires some research and intel work).

However, there is little point. Most POS owners know the moment you set up a syphon. They use the API with personal programs to monitor the amount of moon goo that goes into their stroage structures. If the amount is less than expected, they assume a syphon and will go to blow it up.
