The watch-list functionality got recently altered to no longer serve as a method of intel gathering. Instead you now have to invite your targets into a private convo to see if they are online or not. This leads to gameplay that is even more aids than the previous mechanic ever was, for the following reasons:

  • If you play in a domain where intel is important (space important person, wormholes, black ops, etc.), you have to deal with a private convo request every few minutes.
  • Unaffiliated alts are required just for the purpose of convo spamming. Little other gameplay is added by these alts.
  • The only way to stop this method of intel gathering is to block all communications. This is a hugely unsatisfactory option since it also hinders other interactions.
  • It rewards people for not communicating at all with the community.

To address these issues the requester of a private conversation should no longer be informed if his target is offline. Handle this case just like if the convo'd person does not respond at all the the request.

Not to concerned about the above but can we also get it so that pressing enter doesn't auto reject

I'd say auto-reject on pressing Enter is a good thing.
