Hello pilots of New Eden,

Soon, I will be hosting the New Eden Cup (TNEC) - an annual PVP tournament, where four teams compete to bring glory to their Empire. TNEC encourages pilots to come together, regardless of the politics and diplomacy that have been implemented across the galaxy. Whether you have seen the far reaches of New Eden or remained in secure space, whether you have been involved in wars that have shaped the galaxy or only heard the whispers of such wars that have travelled between the stars, these things matter not, for we all eternally rest in the same Universe.

The Amarr, Caldari, Gallente, and Minmatar, all approve of the New Eden Cup, and welcome all pilots to sign-up for the galactic event, where teamwork is essential, and where individuals can become a threat to be recognised.

Overview:
- Each team can have a MINIMUM of 15 players and a MAXIMUM of 20 players, but only 7 players will be able to play in each match
- The arena will have a 100km radius
- The following fleet comps must be fielded by each team, for each match:
Amarr: 2 Mallers, 2 Omens, 1 Arbitrator, 2 Augorors
Caldari: 2 Moas, 2 Caracals, 1 Blackbird, 2 Ospreys
Gallente: 2 Thoraxes, 2 Vexors, 1 Celestis, 2 Exequrors
Minmatar: 2 Ruptures, 2 Stabbers, 1 Bellicose, 2 Scythes

Match Schedule: Fixtures (Keep an eye on this for dates and times).

To enter, join the channel: The New Eden Cup, and message: Tabs27 or Kasper Kalkonen, the faction you wish to play for. Players enter individually, and not as a corporation or alliance, although players from the same corporation and/or alliance are allowed to be on the same team.

General Rules:
Any player that violates the following rules will receive a ONE MATCH BAN, meaning they cannot participate in their team's next match:
1) Locking players before the match starts is NOT allowed
2) Launching drones before the match starts is NOT allowed
3) Moving before the match starts is NOT allowed
4) Burning outside the arena is NOT allowed. Anyone who does so will receive two clear warnings (within 30 seconds) to turn around and return to the arena. If they do not comply, they will be destroyed by Arena guards
5) Smacktalking is NOT allowed

Any player that violates the following rules will receive a PERMANENT BAN from the 2016 Cup:
6) Activating aggressive modules, or aggressing with drones, is NOT allowed until the match starts
7) Once the match has begun, warping out of the arena is NOT allowed
8) If a player loses their ship, they are not allowed to warp their pod out of the arena
9) When a player gets podded, they may only return as a spectator, with no further influence over the match
10) FC'ng from outside the arena is NOT allowed
11) Spectators must remain stationary within their designated area, outside the arena, and must NOT interfere with the match

Fitting Rules:
Any player that violates the following rules will receive a PERMANENT BAN from the 2016 Cup:
1) Only the Logi can fit RR modules
2) No ECM Drones
3) No more than 1 resist module, that increases only one resistance, can be fit per ship, i.e., no more than 1 Armor Kinetic Hardener, EM Ward Field, etc (this does not include resistance modules that increase all resists)
4) No more than 1 resist rig can be fit per ship, i.e., anti-exp rig
5) No more than 2 EWAR mods can be fit to each EWAR cruiser (Target Painters, ECM Modules, Weapon Disruptors, and Sensor Dampeners, fall into the category of an EWAR mod)
6) No more than 1 EWAR mod can be fit to each Combat Cruiser
7) No more than 1 Energy Neutraliser can be fit to each Combat Cruiser (no restriction for neuts on EWAR Cruisers)
8) No Tech 2 Rigs
9) No Faction, Officer, or Deadspace modules
10) No Skill Hardwiring Implants or Attribute Enhancers allowed (apart from Learning implants only)
11) No Links or Boosters
12) No Deployable Structures are allowed (such as Mobile Depots, Cargo Containers, etc.)
13) Spectators are only allowed to fit Sensor Boosters and Signal Amplifiers

Further Notes:
- If a player loses internet connection (disconnects), the match will continue as normal. If the player is not able to log in again before the match finishes, the only penalty they wil face is to be destroyed by the Arena Guards
- You are allowed to change your tactics and fittings for each match
- Podding is allowed
- Warping WITHIN the arena is allowed
- Set your medical clone to the station in the same system that the match will take place
- A Pirate/Faction Cruiser will be awarded to each player on the winning team, who has participated in at least one match

Thanks, see you on-grid!

That'd be a ~11km radium sphere... Blink

Needs details w.r.t. warp in points/starting locations.

And what you mean/expect of an 'FC', rather than simply a Captain as single point of contact and decision-maker on behalf of the team to officials (i.e. confirming they're ready).

You should clarify that those fitting rules are per ship if so.

Starting locations will be told to the individuals who wish to join.

Yeah, it's not a necessity that the "FC" has to be super experienced. A decision-maker is all you need for this, someone who is willing to lead and organise their team Smile

Thanks, I've updated the fitting rules.

As it's the first year the tournament is being hosted, there is no official deadline for signing up.

However, teams are filling up quite rapidly, and so matches will most likely start towards the end of this week.

On the rules ...

1 )how will implants be checked?

2 ) What are the match win conditions ? ie there in no time limit set

3) 2 logi's seems like a lot ..imo ( this is kinda conjoined with question 2)

1. Implants will be checked through a podding of the participating pilots. We're trying to work out how we'll do it, but for now this is our most effective way to check it. We'll probably be checking through API as well, but we're still working on making sure everything is in order, there'll preferably be no cheating with Implants, and any cheating caught will be punished.

2. Last man standing

3. Well we see the doctrine fit for a solid match, we're not looking for day long matches, but we feel people will enjoy a proper fight more. Depending on the skillset and experience of the individual pilots, 2 logi can be a lot for some, and not enough for others.

Yes, this includes the modules you mentioned. We're trying to keep it as fair as possible, for new pilots as well as old.

Sorry, I decided on no implants to make it as fair as possible. Also, allowing fitting implants may tempt some people to fit damage implants, as I would not be able to introduce a podding procedure before the match.
