I've been hearing things from people about how the EVEverse has been changing since I last played over 2 years ago. I have 3 older toons with capital ship ratings, I opened this one to see if there was a reason to come back. To this point..Meh. What am I missing? I used to love the EVEverse until the developers turned towards mindless, pointless conflict. What has changed?
I truly want considered answers. No trolls or fanboys, please.

Sov has changed

POSes are being phased out for new citadels

new ships

ship rebalances

Most relevant to your capital pilots would be the new ship class: Force Auxillary

They are dedicated capital class logistics and carriers have been moved to a DPS and ewar role

Why should you come back?
I could list pages of reasons to come back or not to bother but in the end here is the only one that matters.

YOU are the ONLY one that can decide if EvE in it's current form is a game YOU want to play and the only way to know that is to resub at least one of your accounts and give the new dance a whirl and see if YOU like it.

Currently not in the mood to advertise CCP's game for them.

Patch notes and upcoming features are listed all over the place. If that's "meh" then don't come back.

You said "no trolls" not "no morons."

In any case, what are you asking? You want us to convince you to pay for a game you don't like? You want us to regurgitate the list of changes and features that's already posted in the dev blogs, with pictures? And on Reddit with comments?

Seriously, I wouldn't expect answers in this thread to be more than sarcastic "let me google that for you" links.

Or, how about if you don't want to do your own homework and are willing to take the word of strangers on a forum at face value, believe this: Nothing has changed in null, they just changed some missions and added 3 mining ships. Go ahead and log in your capital ships, it's totally safe, especially if they are... where are they? Deklein?

Alright well a serious answer.. I would just have to say that Eve Online still requires a lot of effort to create the content or a sense of accomplishment. If there's no wind in your sails and you still wanna go sailing, well that's on you Smile

Eve is a PvP focused game and as such promotes conflict.
It has not turned into "lalala fluffy fluffy land" online, if that's what you are asking.

If you don't like mindless, pointless conflict then you don't like Eve. The whole point of Eve is pointless conflict. Maybe not so much mindless but certainly pointless.

Good fights for the sake of good fights are what defines Eve. If you don't like that then I most certainly would not bother coming back.

But today it's more in a physical way than an intellectual way. Not that this quote is not intellectual mind you, I just mean it in a more sweaty flesh on flesh kinda way.

I swear I'm a semi-sentient human person... not a troll. (I sold my club at the pawn shop and got pwned... oooo, bad pawn pwn pun)

I don't get why you'd post up and ask for random strangers to guide your decisions for you. It makes it sound like you don't have much capacity for self-determination. If that's the case, this game would bore the snotinski's out of you. You literally have to decide just about everything in this game, almost nothing is handed to you.

So, I can't give you a reason to come back or to go away any more than I can give you a reason to keep breathing or decide what to eat for dinner. It's kind of your choice to do whatever it is you do.

Sorry for the lack of help... but I'm at least trying to help you understand why I can't help you...

Some classes of worm hole should just be left unexplored... this line of commentary is probably one of them...

Fighters op, reactivate if you have a char that can fly carriers. Come one shoot my crappy t1 one cruiser with it. Battleships still suck.


P.S. Citadels with puppy leash now unleashed. Pretty cheap and accessible unless you only wear L-XL size.
