Need help with combat site ships and fittings

Hi im pretty new to combat sites and not sure what i ships i can use, I have tried using a thrasher to do some high sec sites but even then some harder sites where way too much too handle without warping away at least 15 times.

Right now im training for a jackdaw but even when i finish training i will still need money to buy it so i was wondering if maybe i could get a talwar or something and try to stay away from the npc's range and try to not die, would that work?

If you mean the "normal" highsec Combat sites then maybe use some T1 Cruiser like caracal or something , depends on the Space where you are and the skills you have.

Most deds should be doable in a jackdaw, it will take some good shield skills. But a caracal with rapid lights is a way more efficient way to run them(where there in no ship size restriction). A caracal will run high sec sites absurdly fast, only bummer is the reload time on rapid lights....but most of the rats will pop to one volley.
