ECM vs implants, need an answer

I have a question about the low grade sensor implants, like the Spur, Talon, and Edge...

These implants give you, as a set 7 additional sensor strength... not terribly useful, outside of frigs.

However, assume you have the whole set.... of Spur .. giving you +7 strength of any gallente ship you're in...

But you hop in a guardian.

Now you have two types of sensor strength (and it shows up in ship info!)...

WHEN the ECM lands on you, does it have to jam just ONE type, to jam you, or both?

would you now be permajammed, due to the +7 from implants? or, harder to jam?

(if you're thinking putting one of each type in there is a good idea, then it would be HORRIBLE, because a +1 of all types gets you jammed from the off-race bonus on the ecm jammers alone).

Anyone tested this?

Is there a way to test this?

a DEV answer would be awesome, but i'll settle for anything with some authority.

IMHO, it should make it HARDER to jam (logic of having two types, means both should have to jam).

I have a feeling it makes it easier to jam.

the are % not a flat number so 7% of 0 is 0

also wrong forum

Fantastic. Which forum then? Assumed a place called "features and ideas discussion" would be a place to ... discuss features.... and... ideas. General isnt the place. Mods isnt the place. Ships isnt the place. FW isnt the place. This is .. probably the place.

and the LOW grade implants are not % based, the high grades are.

the low grades add +1 actual sensor strength. That's why it makes this a shifty question.

probably ships & modules or new player questions.

features and ideas is for new ideas you have for the game ^.^

hmm you are right one sec i'll see if i can test for you

Thanks man,

and i sort of figured this would slide into features and ideas, because, how i think it works (makes jams easier to land), vs how i WANT it to work.

The 'idea' part is that, these implants should make it harder to jam you (that both types need jammed).

I'm not sure how to test it... kind of an odd thing, since jams are chance based in the first place.

i can assure you it does not make them easier to land

still testing if it makes it harder

EDIT:

okay so yes it does make it harder at least it will swap your primary sensor strength still need more testing to see if it makes it harder if its lower than your main

so i have cycled quit a few times and it looks like jams only need to overload your highest not both

(that said this is powerful for some frigs as depending on skills you can change your primary)

however it will not hurt you as jamming the secondary does nothing

Then that really is probably the best way for CCP to handle it.

My idea of having them make it harder to jam due to two types wold be cool--but, perhaps, having it so that the highest is the only one that counts at all, is best. Lets me change ships and keep the implants, without horrible side effects.

Thanks for the effort man.
