Reactions in Wormholes - Pros and Cons?

Hi,

right now I set up a farming wormhole for myself that still offers some room for expansion of my profitability. For one thing, I consider doing reactions in there maybe. However, I am not sure if that is smart compared to just using a backwater lowsec system. Can anyone shed some light on this?

My main question to judge feasibility is basically this: What is the m³ of the materials you need to haul in, vs. the m³ of what you haul in during a, lets say, 48h cycle in a single POS.

Also what skills are required to do reactions?
Whats the profitability like? I heard something like 100mil a day some time ago, is this true?

no skills required other than the anchoring skills for the tower. depending on your reactions I can only give advice based on my own reactions. I make polymer reactions (Carbon-86 epoxy resin) which requires C320,C32 and Zydrine.

I harvest my own gas so logistically moving it "in and out" isnt an issue. I move it between two wormholes at most. From my gang of 3 prospects I move the gas from the cloud back into my POS and react from there. I live permanently in a wormhole so my POS is also home to some corpies, used as ship storage and general living. The reactions is a side thing so I can justify spending the ISK on fuel.

This website should keep you right with profits - https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/reactions/

Thanks for that update. Fuzzworks shows insane profitability for boosters ... can that be true? Last time I checked they were barely available in trade hubs and sold for ridiculously low prices. Do you have any insights on that?

Other than that it seems quite feasible to do reactions in a wormhole if bob blesses you with a convenient enough static.

So whats the verdict was fuzzworks estimates close?

I'd imagine the hardest thing for boosters is finding clients. You have to either sell them in high, or risk losing them while trying to move them to a trade hub. Of course in a wh you could always get lucky and have a hole open directly into a trade hub

hmmm I have been looking for alternative revenue streams to branch out beyond market seeding and this does have potential... I have characters in every major hub so I could do it any empires lowsec or in null sec even assuming I can find a quiet little area where I would be left alone.

Wormhole would be ideal as was discussed earliar however I am curious... do boosters take the same amount of materials as most reactions?

I know a guy who probably ran 4 or 6 POS's with 3 or so complex reacions going. Every 2 weeks or 3 I think it was he would need to take multiple trips with his JF just to keep the lights turned on and the things producing..... seems like that would be a bit beyond what you can do with a wormhole doesnt it or am I off on some detail?

I mean if it really is feasible, assuming you plan to import and not mine and make your own fuel and inputs... then a wormhole would be ideal... but from what Ive seen there is a lot of materials coming and going in reactions.... ofc I could be wrong too.
