My name is Davis Malahovs I'm from University of Latvia. I'm doing pilot survey for my Bachelor paper in Sociology. This survey will need 10 minutes of your space time. I tried very hard. Vent through 10-15 MMO motivation researches and 30-40 other MMO researches. In field of game studies there's still no straight and 100% valid&reliable methodology, but it's in the works. I think you missed a bit in the questions about people that prefer "structure" building, like people that play Sid Mayer Civilization and win a science or political victory instead of a military one. People that in EVE prefer to be the builder of ships and provider of resources, even if that don't make them isk rich.
Tried to explain that in the comment at the end.
But all considered a very good survey.

I understand. I think that carefull decision making, planning&long term planning are kind of attributes of industrialists. I tried, as a miner, to build something in EVE but it was pain in the ass with all the hauling contracts, blueprint prices, resource management. It's still needs a lot of strategy even if it is executed by one man. But that's just my little expirience.

And about doxing: It's required in academic research too have your real ID available to all respondents to be fair and to be verifiable.

I think I will post some of them (it's anonymous so it wont hurt) with data.
I think Data (frequency, correlations, crosstabs, etc) with all the nice graphs will be posted in another forum post in 28 or 29 May. Until then I will need to write Bachelor paper. :D
I think I will close this survey in 9th or 10th May.
It would be great if you would forward the survey in you corps or alliances.
