Carriers and Drone Damage Amplifiers

So I'm trying to understand some things here. The flavour text on Drone Damage Amplifiers states that it improves Drones or Fighters, but when using a carrier, I do not see any changes in the damage of fighters.

Does anyone have any more definitive information regarding this? Do DDA's work or is there a bug with how Fighter damage works right now?

The damage listed in the fitting screen has historically been fairly buggy and inaccurate, so that would be my first guess.

Have you tried using one with and without and noticed any difference?

Can anyone confirm the stacking penalties on the drone damage amps when combined with the fighter unit control high slots?

According to the newest PYFA, you can get an insanely high dps, but the mods do not seem to be stacking penalized.

It could be the tool, but it says it was updated for Citadel.

FSUs improve rate of fire. DDAs increase raw damage. They do not stack against each other since they affect different attributes.

That is true. Thanks for spelling that out.

It still seemed odd that I was getting huge increases in DPS from the 4th and 5th drone damage amp in the program.

This may be something I need to go test on SISI.

anyone worked out what the new max dps is you can get with a thanny?

every fitting program I have used just cant work it out.

EFT gives 5250. Pyfa gives 5338. It's in there somewhere. Firbolg IIs, 5 W-634 FSUs, 6 W-634 DDAs. I suspect you could get the paper number up by swapping one or two FSUs for officer smartbombs.
