I went to look for Evemon after a long hiatus and found it on BC. After the download my virus protection deleted the installer and said it was totally unsafe. Is there a safe place to get evemon now?
I'ld say that your anti-virus detected a false positive. Link from BC is still valid. Same link in EVE forums EVEMon thread.

Thank you so much. For some reason I had to completely turn off the protection to install Evemon. It runs fine with the protection active, just wouldn't install. Norton even says the program is trusted...it had a problem because there was no info for the publisher.
Anyway...THANKS!!

EVE just got harder, now that there will be less shitfits around.

your wrong, I knew a group I just got banned from that's training new players and most of their corpate fits have very little tank on them for pve, they've been easy kills for their war decs and because of that have moved locations

It sucks, they were quite a nice site before they ruined their UI. Had a great time making fits on there back before the UI modifications happened, despite the appearance being antiquated and sometimes the site functionality being broken, the comments on bad fits and killmails were hilarious. In addition, some of the most time-tested fits first showed up on BC. The nano drake comes to mind.

Used BC in my early days. Used it to get hold of EVEMon until I switched to a better tool.

Sad to see it go as it supported EVE for years but it's clear it was suffering and dying so not a surprise.

BC was full of terrible fits being "ironically" upvoted and "hilariously" praised in the comments by smartass retards.

It will not be missed.

On behalf of the EVEMon Dev Team (all those that predated me and the current), I want to express our gratitude to SghnDubh and MrCue (personally I owe them alot) for their hospitality and support throughout the years. Our gratitude also goes to all the BC moderators and the ppl that were behind the scenes.

As of what will become of EVEMon, that is still unknown. I'm evaluating all options but my main concern is that hosting a website (presentation, forums, dev infrastructures) is currently out of the question due to my financial situation.
I'm sure that EVEMon will still be continued and distributed via BitBucket though.

If anyone out there has the means to provide EVEMon a home, I'm more than willing to discuss it.

Honestly I would just make it available through bitbucket, maybe with a .wordpress free site or something (I can help with that part if you need help)

Seems like you are late to the party.
We have been hosting our repo in bitbucket for years now and we already have a new official website (link has already been posted in the thread).
