Thank you for the Dreadnought in Asteroid Belts

Such a brilliant idea to add Dreadnoughts to the asteroid belts. This now gives me a reason to train all my mining characters to to fly Dreadnoughts of there own and to train for the fittings for it. Here I thought that simply training to use a procurer or a skiff would be enough to be an effective miner (dopey me) but some inspired person at CCP had the brainstorm to make all us miners train for capital combat ships. We've obviously been missing out on a large part of the Eve experience and I'm so glad CCP was thoughtful enough to force minters to train for a facet of the game most miners don't give a flying F**K about.

I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to spend months and months training to fly a ship I'll use maybe once a day. Or even better, I could buy some PLEX and use them to get isk to buy skill injectors and not have to spend months and months training skills I would otherwise have absolutely no interest in. Get me to train stuff I don't want and make money to boot!!! Truly inspired and I'm sure all the miners really appreciate the thought behind this.

So again, thanks for the Dreadnoughts in the asteroid belts. I certainly shows whose best interest CCP has at heart.

even if you have no friends you have many belts to mine in.... It's not that NPC dreads are in every one?Shocked

He has a point. Must there be such hard rats in belts? At least if you must, by CCP design, fly defenseless ships? Capitals in Plexes are a good idea but IMHO CCP should either arm the miners or reduce the beltrats. I would vote for really arming the miners. 2 skiffs should be able to handle a single player battleship.
And forget the friend part: which ratter would like to need a miner friend on standby all the time just to do hist ratting? Ratters are self sufficent while miners are not (any more). I would really like to see the reactions when you can only do ratting in pairs or more.......

40% of the minerals in the game are mined from Null, about the same from high, WH's was about 15%? And low sec makes up the last few percent.

Risk V Reward argument works both ways sunshine. Dont sit in NS safe and sound and whine about empire being too easy. Earn your isk like everyone else has to !
