Put Logi Pilots on Killmails

Hello Fellow Space Nerds

This post won't discuss the technical side of this matter.
CCP and the CSM are better positioned to hammer out the details.

This post would like Logi pilots to end up on killmails.
Getting Logi pilots onto KM's is the full extent of the idea.

The idea isn't new. E-war gets already on killmails, and so,
the idea isn't particularly difficult to comprehend.

We can all imagine some kind of timer, or rule, in which;
"if you rep a pilot who got on a KM, then you get on the KM."

This post won't discuss the technical side of this matter.

Upvote this post. Show your logi pilots some love.
The end result will be longer, larger fights.

Get off your arse and help.

up voting is a thing now?

besides ccp has already expressed interest in this so your thread is kinda pointless

As a logi pilot, I say no developpement time should be wasted on something as meaningless as killmail for my effort to keep my fleetmate's ship in working condition. I know if I did good or not even if it does not show on a killboard.

How exactly do you figure that?

And if I help shoot other ships, I know if I did good whether or not my face shows up on the killmails.

The information is for others, not so much for you to see your own performance.

Except your damage was part of the kill. I did not interact with the ship reported as destroyed in the kill report. Logi don't apply any offensive action (damage or E-war) on the destroyed ship and that is why they are not recorded.

Several WWB refugees have wandered out of the reddit boards and onto these forums. They don't quite have the mechanics down yet. Give them some time to adjust to their new home. I'm P-sure he means 'like my post' and feels that if he gets enough likes (votes) there will be cake at the end of the thread.

It's valuable intel to know if your opponent typically brings a ton of logi. Some wish to know and some wish to conceal this information. In small gang stuff knowing there is (more likely than not) a flight of enemy guardians inbound is a big deal. It's good info to have (deny) in most wh engagements.

Just saying it's a double edged thing.

I'd say if figuring it all out adds to lag then leave it as is. If it doesn't affect game play then argue on.

As a sometime logi pilot, I have to say no.

Actually, not just no, but HELL NO what is wrong with you?

As KB green enthusiast I think it would give logi some love but might result in even more logis. I would logi a lot. I now logi very little.

Come get some cancer @ my blog !

Initially, I thought this idea was kind of stupid. Why should logi be put on kms just because some pilots out there want their egos stroked? Kms are nice for bragging rights if you're that kind of player, but they play a more important role. Intel. Then I changed my mind. Truth be told, nobody give a damn about your precious little feelings, but the intel is useful. People use kms to see fleet comp all the time. If logi is present, it would be nice to know.

I'm glad to hear that CCP is already looking into the feature. +1

I mean, wouldn't logi on it make it a fail mail? Like "look at all these dudes who couldn't do their jobs"

I think overall it would prevent a lot of small gang fights. If you encounter some unknowns and check the kb - you currently see a (random number) 6 man gang running around killing stuff, so you do a head count of your own peeps, come up w/ 6 and engage. If you check the kb and see 6 dps ships and 5 logi then it's a big HELLNO to engage.

Although, over time, if the logi heavy gang gets no fights, it will either drop some logi or die of boredom, so long term it may curb the over use of logi in small gang.

Wow, what a mess.

Let's just leave it alone. There are enough changes in progress atm.

A better one to go after would be to put boosters on the km. THAT would be a good thing.

Do you have any idea how even more meaningless "KB green" would become if the same kill appeared on even more individual's board like it would if we added logi to reports?

I mean, I'm garbage at PvP and already have an ISK ratio of 95.6 according to zkill and that is without my time as logi inflating that number higher.

I guess you'd have a point if you were interested in making that stat even more of a joke...

Logi pilots are already on killmails...when they're the ones losing their ship. If you want logi pilots on killmails, shoot their ship until it explodes, and viola! Logi pilot on a killmail.
