CODE has been around for longer than the past two years. There are several parts in your tale where the truth is being severely stretched. In my experience people most often get wardecced when they are less than civil in their discourse. A Gallent reaction always does wonders for further interactions, while a Goofus suffers as he must.

Mmmmm no. The wardec came in an ice field in 0.6. Was there about 10 minutes and about 4 Skiffs were there all in NPC corps. Then a guy in a corp called Zero Tolerance warps in with a battleship, immediately wardecs, places bounty on me and rams me as I was trying to align and warp away. He didn't bother with the other players there.

He typed in chat "bump, bump, bump".

I went back about 30mins later and he was still sitting there with the 4 other skiffs.

Not a word was said from my end.

Either way, you can call it whining..whatever. Try to make me out to be the idiot or the bad guy...or whatever.... Eve has always been grief central and obviously hasn't cleaned up much. The worst when I was last playing were the assholes who warped into your missions and salvaged (ninjas) your loot out from under you with nothing you could do to stop them. That sucked then... I beat that by paying another $15 for another account that ran close behind my Golem salvaging as the kills dropped.

It would appear that I need to sell my Mackinaw now and get a lower grade Skiff....but that still doesn't the solve the "bumping" which is most common I have noticed. Another way around the system to create grief to a player that the player can do nothing about.. Rock on

In that case look for some allies in the wardec (Crime and Punishment forum) so that both parties can entertain each other.

The best way to deal with ninja salvagers is obviously to pull your drones so there is no accidental aggression, give a friendly wave in local and ignore it.

As to the Mackinaw the solution has already been suggested several times: get a mining permit, great value at only 10m for a whole year of licensed mining.

Making New Eden a better place 8 rounds of Void at a time.

Funny, smartest, pretty and relevant. Pick 3.

Shoot the wrecks :) or just ignore the ninja salvagers.

I thought wardecs take 24 hours before the sides involved can start shooting each other and in the case of a corp joining an alliance already at war it's still an hour before said corp can shoot wartargets without concordokken. There are instant wardecs? I didn't know that.

There aren't. OP didn't get killed in that belt, just bumped and bountied.

Am I the only one I thinks this is ********. I know ccp wants the game to be run by the players as much as possible but making people pay protection money to play the safest way in this game is outrageous. Hi sec is meant to be fairly safe. It sounds like they gank the same people over and over to force them to pay the isk. This is one of many reasons why the game is dieing even tho the numbers have went up it will go back down, then down again. There is a point that ccp needs to step in and make this game a little less realistic.

Paying for safety in a game. What's next . Threats to kidnap you're family if you don't pay up irl.

Sorry for the bad typing auto correct and cba to correct.

Same thread different day Shocked

Dotlan maps has #jumps, #kills, and other activity for each system - you can even find hi sec systems with no kills in quite a long time this way. Dead end, stationless systems can be empty most of the time. The gankers just don't waste their time with those systems for obvious reasons. No one to gank and they will be seen a mile away when they are the only one in local.

People have been charging for this mining license thing as long as I can remember, before CODE was even a thing. There will always be someone out to blow up your ship - CODE or no code.

If i'm a solo ganker out for the lulz I don't care about your mining license. I care about how clearly afk and how badly tanked you are. Even if I was in code idk if I'd care/have time to check/care or ask whoever if you were on the list. Sounds like way too much work for 10m/ year when you have drone rigs and no mid slots on your exhumer.
