Welp! The North is on fire! There goes my investment...

As some of you might be aware, the North is on fire. War isn't coming, war is here, and this might be remembered as one of the largest conflicts in recent years! It's in the news! And not on Gutter Press either, no no, this is high grade The Scope material right here! Narrated with that smooth galaxy news radio talk that only Alton Haveri can provide!

Tribute, which was a main corridor to the comforts of Venal, has been shaken up badly by this and the political stability of that region (and the lack of heavy gate interdiction that came from it) has gone belly side up! Circle of Two has been kicked out of the Imperium it seems, and it is only time will tell what will come out of this! And this also means that moving goods in and out of Venal is harder, riskier and more expensive! This is super inconvenient for me, since I need these supplies to work with! This sucks!

This political upheaval isn't good for my scientific pursuits at all! I don't suppose any of you wants to hire a cutesy Guristas science person like me for freelance work for the time being? Like, in Providence maybe?

PS: No, Miss Funk! I am not going to join your merry bunch of Blood Raiders!

While the CVA or any of their alliance partners in the Prov Bloc are always an option I'm honestly not sure how difficult it might be for a scienti--... Science person with your history to be cleared for entry into their ranks. That being said, there are always subcontractor mercenary groups like Night Theifs taking part in Operation Deliverance that might act as a good way to get your foot into the "null-sec but no totally on fire" door.

... Yes, I know our corporation name is spelled wrong by the way. We aren't the most studious or sober bunch. Which, come to think of it, might explain why we have yet to be officially inducted into the CVA.

I've honestly never been one for politics, but this is a great story so far, I love the scope for covering it. I've been lucky enough to be far enough away from the action, but I still wonder what it looks like in the region

Never bet against chaos in new eden. Sell the sword and lance, not the marbled statue, and you'll never lose an investment.

This shouldn't be a problem for an investor or a scientist. If you're an investor, sell ammo, minerals, ships and weapons up north, near the frontline.

If you're a scientist, research military technologies.

There's never been a war the true entrepreneur didn't figure out how to profit from.

Only the liberty of the individual assures the prosperity of the whole. And this foundation must be defended.

How does that translate into real estate development for personal living in lawless Guristas space, Mister Galente?

Last I check, big wars means more people trying to kill me. More gates being guarded. And enough bubbles to make a soap bar blush!

Get into a real business. Real estate is for planetsiders with no discernible skills.

Try Jita station trading. You won't be bored out of your mind, I promise.

To answer your question, I would sell the real estate and build civilian transports out of that shithole. I said that there was always an opportunity to make money, that doesn't mean there's always one in what you're currently comfortable doing.

Not wanting to sound pretentious Miss Ayallah, but I never passed this as fact. Based on the information I had a week ago, it seemed as if Circle of Two was kicked out. Now we know better, since the dust has settled. Either way, kicked out or not this destabilizes the region completely, which was the point I was trying to make!

And the GalNet video you posted was created five days after my comment, and I saw it when it was released. Truly a work of art!

No one knew they were leaving until they announced it with their list of grievances. How it seemed they were being kicked out by announcing they were leaving is what I am questioning.

There was no dust to settle.
The very first headline and every one thereafter read "Circle of Two to reset the Imperium."


I am sure in a month or two you can join the new wave of colonists to the liberated north and return to your business there.

I sure hope so! Guess I'll have to spend the next couple of months gathering funds for my future investments then.

Also, I am no expert in politics of Nullsec... I need to constantly nag other people just to make sense of everything that is going on in New Eden. If I spout nonsense, that's just me being ignorant. Honest!

I prefer swords to plowshares myself! Or was it path to exile... Picking between life or land is so difficult!

Also, my investments are pretty safe! They are just frozen while this mess doesn't go away.
