We live to serve the Empire. May Her Majesty Empress Catiz I long reign over us.

This one's a bit over the edge guys.

I took a momentary leave of absence from my post in Misaba to rotate planetside in Amarr to watch the event. I personally don't subscribe to the Amarr faith and have only a simple understanding of your culture, but from my Caldari point of view Empress Catiz seems an honorable soul that has earned her ascension through hard work and her own merit rather than simply by her noble birth.

May she drive the Amarr to more prosperous times, and perhaps further bridge the gap between our cultures.

I'm glad to see the Amarrians finally getting a leader again. I guess it's something we take for granted in the Federation, though it would entertain us greatly if our leaders were selected in the same manner.

There is only 1 Empress, this is just a false pretender till She Returns. All who stand by Her will be showered with favor, those that turn away from Her will be driven before Her fleets and burned into nothingness unless they repent their error. CVA's official stance is that of a coward. It is no stance at all "to stand with the Empire". I can not in good moral faith follow a false prophet. I will abide CVA's Choice and work to turn Providence coalition into weapon of Justice for Her upon Her return. Pax Jymal, Pax Providencia Amarr Victor.

Hate to say this, but nobody seems to have her body, meaning the drifters might..... Do you really want her to return under those circumstances? Again congrats on your new leader.

A Udorian woman not of true Amarrian blood is now empress of the Amarr Empire, far be it from me to judge but I would wager this fact has not been lost on many of the empire's traditionalists.

I was able to watch the fight while in orbit above Amarr and I was pleased what I saw. While the ebb of the battle swayed back and forth, both sides engaged a slugfest worthy of Amarr.

As for the heirs: I am kind of torn between the two. Both of them were valid candidates to the throne.

I think that the Rite of Shathol'Syn is something that should be looked on in earnest (read: abolished), especially in light of past events with the Drifter incursions (and the subsequent death of Empress Jamyl Sarum I ). They have shown they are more than capable of destruction on another scale than any threat the Amarr Empire faced before. We can ill afford to lose another ruler.

I can only imagine the row that kind of proposition would cause among the Theology Council. Beyond that, the issue that the Rite was created to prevent is still a reality, and with the threat the Drifters represent the Empire can also ill afford infighting among the remaining heirs.

You really don't need the approval of the Theology Council. All you need is for the Empress to make a declaration. She's the head of the Church, as well as the head of the Empire. What she says, goes. The Empire is not a democracy.

While I do not think to tell the Amarrian people how they should rule or be ruled, I imagine it would be very difficult to continue their holy traditions should (God forbid) multiple leaders be killed in quick succession.

Do not worry. Drifters will not threaten the "bogeyman" on the throne.
