Reworked explosion effects taken off the Updates site?

Did anyone else notice the thing in my title? The reworked explosions were supposed to be like the ones from FF2015, and they were on the updates site as being released with Citadels, but in the last month or so they were dropped and they aren't anywhere now. What gives CCP? I'm tired of my ship just going "Piff" in space.

As far as I know, neither of you have seen anything of mine go "Piff".

I'd rather mine and everyone elses ships be capable of doing this, instead of the "Piff".

You know FanFest? About 99% of what CCP shows there never comes to the Eve Online

I realize this, but it looked like they had it on track to be released with Citadels up until about a month ago, then it just seemed to drop off the radar.

This wasn't just a case of "we saw it at fanfest and then never heard anything else".

These effects look great. Maybe in as an optional thing for those who don't want all that graphical clutter?

The art panel discussed the explosions. They have been further refined since last year. They're still in the works but not ready for prime time. I must say, Citadels blow up real nice.

I was thinking that this might have been the case last night, I'm glad to hear this and I'm looking forward to watching the art panel.
