Kill Mark Cam

Lately, my fellow capsuleers and I have been doing a lot of looking at each others kill marks.

However, there are some ships where they're rather difficult to find.
As well, it's rather difficult to view the kill marks on a moving ship.


So, the suggestion is, after you've clicked 'look at' on a specific ship, you're then given a 'view kill marks' option.

It's cool that marks were added into the game, but it's a bit redundant if you're the only person that can see them, most of the time, and even more so when it's just as difficult to find your own marks.


So, the kill marks cam would center the cam right over the kill marks, give zoom in and out functionality, and would track regardless of movement.

I can think of worse things. And not much point having the feature if you can't look at it. Some of them are in silly places.

How about NO. Don't give a damn about yours, mine or anyone else's kill marks, and I don't want CCP wasting time to add this.

If your kill marks are that important then let the drama build as you search to find them, that way the emotional impact of actually finding them will be so much greater, you know the ages old thrill of the hunt kind of stuff.

That is literally one of the dumbest excuses for denial I have ever heard.

1) The hunt was for the ship you destroyed. Hunting to find the kill Mark is not thrilling nor rewarding.

2) It took more resources to develop kill Mark's than adding a cam function would.

3) the whole point of kill Marks is to show them off, either to yourself or others. Kinda pointless when you can't find them / see them.

4) current camera functionality makes them almost impossible to find on some ships without undocking, stopping, going into tactical ccamera, and other nonsense to try and find a tiny mark on a tiny ship.

I dont often agree with joe, but thats some pretty dumd reasoning right there man.

That said , i also dont think any time needs spending on this, get more kills, the 10 marks are much easier to find.

Like you, it's not often I agree with Joe, on the reasoning part, not the idea. I also think the idea is a waste of time.

I can't imagine adding a camera bookmark to the ship model would eat a massive amount of time.



If I had to choose between a KM camera and say, T3 rebalance, definitely the rebalance, but since we're not getting there anyway.... may as well enjoy Barbies and Barbie boats online a little bit more by playing dress up, right?

Changing the 'look at' functionality probably took more effort than this change would.

lets look at it the way a ccp dev would

Yet they still implemented killmarks anyway... which likely took more people and more time..

Now you can find them on any hull, ay issues you have with looking at them are thanks to the camera system and it's weird insistence on centring in front of your ship, not on it.
