I Liked the original post which I guess is the new way to support a topic in Features and Ideas Discussion. They should allow clothing to be worn by either gender regardless of which gender the clothing was intended for.

To ask about Nova Fox's point. I wonder how the clothing should be cut. Should men's pants look too big on a woman? should heels look too small on a man? or the clothing be cut as though it actually fit the avatar correctly when used on an opposite gender avatar?

And that there is the design question of the month it would be up to the art director to set that. I wouldnt mind seeing a mix of the three but if comes down to it the cut to fit would have to do.

either way the pants and T-shirts should ahve been all bi-gender to begin with.

I would like to see the ability to wear wrong sized clothing as well. Charlie Chaplin's Tramp character, anyone?

But really, FIS first.

I think the entire development team around the carbon character creation is prepared for this.

For example, if a man has the palm of the foot 30cm, the shoe should grow in proportion. this happens to clothing when it is put more muscle or less.

the only question is the height. is the height of a man is identical to a woman in character creation?

I think they should leave it alone, now that it's launched.

By leaving it as-is, they're simply modeling the game after normal society. That's how 99.9% of people dress in everyday life. It isn't taking an anti-transsexual stance, it's simply how things normally are.

By changing things now, on request from pro-trans people, it could be perceived by many as taking a pro-transsexual stance, rather than being neutral as before. I dunno about you, but I wouldn't want my company to be dragged into that nightmare of a PR situation. To stay politically correct there, they'd have to add in clothing for every prevalent group of people that commonly has distinct items of clothing. (Burkas, Kippas, whatever you call those things that amish women wear, etc...)

Also, for a practical argument, this would mean making new models and skins of every single item of clothing, to fit the character models.

As a Scotsman myself, the idea of a Kilt being available on the NeX is quite enticing.

How can you say what's normal 50000 years in the future? Why is what's normal in the amarr empire the same as what's normal in the gallente federation?

Arguing for 'normal society' makes you look transphobic.

tbh, I just don't think anyone cares. Its a space ship game, adding transgender stuff is just off topic and out of place. Maybe if this was the Sims it would be an issue.

Whatever you do, never, ever, add something to the game which enables you to replicate the monroe skirt blowing scene.

And my axe!!

Wait..what are we talking about again?

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

You're just worried that everyone in Goonswarm will find that easter egg at the same time as an important Op.

I can see it now, a long row of fat geeks with their kilts blowing up, revealing a mile-long row of nothing but hot, sweaty, unshaven and unwashed balls covered in rolls of fat.

Sexy and distracting, indeed.

I can see it now, Goonswarm invades Jita and hikes up their skirts.

This is not sex discrimination. If that were the case then you would be questioning why there is only male and female sex's to choose from. Gender discrimination would be what your talking about. People that a transgender is where the PR wants to be respectful towards, however ... screw it i want a mini skirt too!

lol but in all seriousness for them to do that would mean a ton more programing right? In terms of fairness and sexual equality they would be morally obligated to introduce an increased variation of body types before worrying about mix matching clothing.

In the end many of us would like to see Mario 64 with a sex change if for anything the humor of it, but we have hardly any philosophical standing to demand the game be changed to include it. Here avatars are meant to be customizable but limitations must be respected as representing the majority interests. Which like i said should not be consumed by costumes.

to that effect why cant i make a toon so large it needs a crain to move like a 700 pound man ftw!

why cant i strech my bycepts out to look like a hulking behemoth that can lift a car?

why cant my male toon wear makeup to look prety?

i say let ccp work on more constructive things like getting dust 514 out and evolving to integrate some of these new game mechanics that make other games shine so bright.

i say gripe about toons after dust 514 where we will have full access to stations and eve will start integating alot of sims and second life aspects to eve.
