[Piloting] Move to point with the new Tactical UI

With some of the stuff I've seen in the new Tactical UI on SiSi, I think it would be neat if there was a "approach point" button. It would work just like telling fighters to move to a point, or doomsdaying a point, except your ship would fly there.

Maybe take it further. Allow players (and fleet commanders) to set automatic or manual checkpoints for movement on grid. Checkpoints could even have little floating timers (e.g. frigates are instructed to move manually or automatically to this spot in 60 seconds).

Something like a ping tool that integrates with upcoming tactical UI.

One thought I had a while back was having FCs and Wing Commanders able to open a 3d tactical map of the grid (almost like a Homeworld style map) and drag and set ship positions for the fleet wings/wing ships on that grid. The location for each wing/ship would then show as an Overlay beacon for the wing/ship in question so that they could approach it. Multiple beacons could potentially be set for waypoints.

To make it really interesting, make it work from a module that commanders need to fit making there a need to fit out command vessels.

That I think is a great idea, like a warfare link, it would make sense, though at the same time with the ships being as advanced as they are one might assume such systems were built in..

I like this a lot.

Also, in the vein, it would be nice if squad/wing commanders could assign tags and send broadcasts to their wing/squad only. SO FC could tell a squad to kill dictors, then the squad commander could tag or broadcast which dictors go first.
