Thing is, we kinda need the goons. They are the Sansha of the PVP world. Roams always get interesting when suddenly 100 ships show up in the system, kill everything they can find and move on to the next system.

Watch_ Fred Fred Frederation_ and stop cryptozoologist! Fight against the brutal genocide of fictional creatures across New Eden! Is that a metaphor? Probably not, but the fru-fru- people will sure love it!

Not really a "win" in my book. More like "I finally pulled a scam better quit while I'm ahead". Real winners win and then they keep winning. The BoB dissolution by Goons and the Phaser Inc. investment pyramid scheme were both much bigger and more impressive.

I wouldn't want to ask the obvious...if you destroyed Goon, uh... I also wouldn't want to be overly critical about the actual article, which had little in specifics to correlate to any real activity, though it glistened with generality. Then, of course, aside from self-aggrandizement (possibly to announce your return to the game you "never played...again") the point of the post is rather...vague, if not inconsequential.

-3/10 for overall purposelessness

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.

And both took more than a fortnights work with incredibly experienced players. *shrugs*

Point of posting here was people not being certain I was Yih, this post on the forums has fixed that - and was the only reason I'm 'back'.

Only in the ironic sense of the Goons still being around and doing better than ever, and you still being around.

That sounds like pretty odd definitions of “destroying”, “winning”, and “never playing again”.

If it was easy it wouldn't be impressive. If you have too much ISK you can send it my way, btw! Big smile

It's not playing if you don't have an active account, or EVE even downloaded :)

obviously your definition of destroying precludes the fact that people can remake things.

I won't even try and figure out what your definition of winning is ;)

Umm see the thing is that Goons have just recently (as in least week) increased their sovereignty by a factor of 2 in the north.

So even if it did implode, it seems that the leadership transition has proceeded quite smoothly. :) He's done them a service.
