Infiltrated outpost - NPC drones too tough, bug?

Run Infiltrated outpost on a Raven Navy, got 7100 damage per salvo and usually get up to 3000 damage on NPC battleships which takes 3-4 salvo to kill them.

But now i'm only get 400 thermal damage to Alvus Controller on shield and armor and 800 damage on structure.

400k-bounty BS is harder to kill then 1m-bounty one?

Didnt get this mission for smth about a month, but i didnt recall that drones were so tough when i'm run it last time.
bug or wad?

To be honest, you're better off asking in Missions & Complexes.

Maybe you can report your message for moving, or just post there.

You should be using EM missiles for that mission. This website will help.

The Alvus Controller probably has higher thermal resist than the other BSes.

Thermal is a secondary dmg to drones.
Anyway 800 dmg to unresisted(?) structure from a 7000+ salvo... open a ticket will see...

Make sure all of your launchers are firing. I had a really weird issue a couple weeks back where only one was firing. I had to unfit and refit them and then regroup them, and haven't had a problem since.

Thats maybe the cause, i'm heard of this issue early. And i'm shoting same Alvus controller on another mission - 3500+ damage per salvo.

Alvus controller has 50% resist to thermal not to mention a defender missile chance.

Also, while I don't know your fit, are you sure you have 100% application with missiles against it? 350 speed and 350 sig radius

212 sig radius.

Run other mission with Alvus** and got him in 3 salvo, so it ether mission specific, or rare bug with ungrouping mentioned above.

The type of missile you should use against drones is mission specific.

In Infiltrated Outposts, you should be using EM missiles against the drones.
In Silence The Informant, you should use Thermal missiles against the drones.

grouping bug has happened to me, too and i was like "wtf?" so i'd go with that.

OK a little more to clarify this.
The rouge drones in pocket 1 are best dealt with using EM since all drones are weakest to EM.
The mercs in the rest of the mission are best dealt with using thermal since they are weakest to thermal.
If you have or want to shoot only one damage type then thermal will get the fastest completion since most of the NPC are mercs.
The best way to run this is start with EM for the drones in the first pocket and then reload to thermal as you move into pocket 2.
