Yes of course you do.

Strategic Mining barge propulsion, defense, mining, dorne, eletronics to at least V.

LOL

That would be so freaking awesome :D

Mining definitely needs some overhaul as there are plenty of people that are not interested in pvp but like mining and industry.

There should definitely be a T3 barge perhaps one that can fit compression array or a reprocessing array + cloak that will allow expeditions in to WH's and null sec but also allow it to carry enough ore for the risk to pay off.

Everything in Eve is PvP, friend. That rock you just mined, you took away from another miner in the system. That ore you just sold from what you mined, you just took away a sale from other players with sell orders.

That's the problem with most miners. They constantly cry for One More Nerf (TM) to others' PvP, not recognizing that they and their PvP are legitimate targets to be countered.

And that's among the reasons the Code must be brought upon them.

Yea my bad why mining when you can just scam CODE for 50Billion ISK Big smileBig smileBig smileBig smileBig smile

But you miss my point even if you treat mining and industry competition as "PvP" that does not change the topic as much as PvP players can get a t3 cruisers why miners can't?

I don't even..

I like all T2 mining ships. Doubly so the ones packed with faction mods. Make T3 mining ships, please. Miners won't tank them regardless.

If you think you've won, think again.

The CODE always wins.

Yes, very true but the concept of 'targets' implies combative PvP only. PvP is also additive, players can work together to succeed better (it's what Corporations are); it's mutually beneficial, common trade for the win-win; as well as being neighborly- I'm happy doing my thing over here, you are happy doing yours over there, peaceful coexistence. So not all PvP has to be combative.

Now, to ship to ship PvP'ers, that is the way the mindset works so it really has a limited perspective, so those of us that can work in the other PvP modes have to be broader minded to understand that need to rush to the end and destroy stuff.

There is PvP on the gathering of materials, the creation of items , as well as the destruction end point.

Really, you got to that end from your start point? I admire your dedication to your religion.

I think it would be neat if you could deploy your exhumer so it attaches to an asteroid directly and you can watch the machine do it's work but it takes a while to pack up when trouble shows up. It mines super fast or soemthing

I will like to watch mining drones latch themselves onto an asteroid, wiggling around like some kind of worm, and ten minutes later, the asteroid swells up and explodes into swarms of mining drones which will then latch themselves onto surrounding asteroids, which will then become bloated with wriggling mining drones ten minutes later and then explode, multiplying exponentially.

And after ten minutes without rocks to infect, they all fall inert and can then be scooped up. Once exposed to atmosphere inside the ship, each inert mining drone will then crumble and reveal the ore dust within.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

You're on the red pen list. But good news friend! Now you don't have to worry about how your exhumer looks because you soon won't be flying one.

Oh no.... The red pen list.... Whatever will OP do now? Seems like his Eve career is over. Better just unsub.

Hey, people take their red objects very seriously...

Speaking of which... are there any truly RED starships in the game... I've seen reddish, but not like "Fire Engine Red" or anything.

I'm a new player really and am generally very happy with most aspects of the game. However, I have decided to concentrate on mining and production/industry so have got myself into an exhumer to do some pro mining and was pleasantly surprised by the difference between the Venture and the mining barges.....but feel a little let down by the uninspirational design difference between the barges and the exhumers.

Surely, you (CCP) could have come up with a slightly better visual design for exhumers other than just the same design as the barges with a slightly different paint job....so that those who make it into an exhumer actually feel good about getting there after so much training. The stats are fine in the exhumers but you could have done a better job of making the exhumers look a little different/flashy...imo.

Yes...I might be nit-picking by some folks standards but a cool looking exhumer would have been nice after all the effort to get there.

Cheers

You young whippersnappers....ugly Exhumers? Be glad you missed the days of having to mine in a Dominix. (And I mean the old Dominix which looked like an armored potato.)
