Grid Merger on Sisi

Is it normal for grids to merge after several days of being stable?

I put down a KeepStar off grid from a station, then put some down on grid with that same station but after about a week their grids merged.

Granted the edge of grid was 10 km off the docking ring for one of my KeepStars but it seems odd that the grid didn't merge when I placed them and did finally merge after about a week.

The question is that is this the behavior that we should expect on TQ after release where grids may merge after being stable for a period of time.

Or is this just a result of code changes on Sisi?

Grids don't ever merge. It's one of their fundamentals properties.

However, server reboot can happen, and then grids may be calculated differently.

It looks like the Grid has adjusted itself again. The long range KeepStar is no longer on grid with the station and other KeepStars.
