Battle at J-GAMP - CVA did not shine

Like many others, me too I tried to have a look at J-GAMP. And like many others, I run into the bubbled gate in front of the system and I was mowed down by CVA. This happened to many people. And tactically, maybe this made sense. Although I have my doubt.
Yet, in the game, this was just a big alliance keeping out the small guy. Keeping them out from sightseeing, joining the fray or from just being there. As I said, maybe there was a tactical reason. But it felt small.

So, no, I was not there (c) What?

On the internet, you can be whatever you want to be. It is amazing that so many people chose to be stupid.

Would you let strangers go "sightseeing" in your (to be?) living room?

I mean, I thought CVA was supposed to be NRDS, but I never really got that. After all, a neutral in Eve is just a hostile that hasn't opened fire yet.

So, in a way it will always make sense to shoot neutrals (especially if a strategic operation is in progress) because you don't know what they are up to. Could be an out of corp cyno alt. You said yourself they kept you from "joining the fray" - could they have known which side you would have joined?

Really the whole alt-tab out to check the KOS list, is a crock full of dung. Just set the whole eve cluster (defacto) red and be done with it.Twisted

This is the first time I've ever heard of CVA being described as a big alliance.

Place 23. according to dotlan. It's all relative. Compared to Midnight Special Super Sexy they are humongous.

that neut you let slip through to do some sightseeing may just be the neut with a cyno that drops a cap fleet on your head.

You obviously didn't have your journalist badge displayed well enough. I'm sure they would have been happy to let you sightsee and potentially screw everything up.

You sound like someone wronged you. They didn't.

You flew a ship into a battlezone, and got battlezone'd. That's the way the game works and if you didn't understand that before now, that's your own fault.

Would it help if you stuffed your cargo hold full of popcorn and pom-poms? How about those little inflatable whacking sticks? Air horns? (not sure how useful those would be in space) Hey, I know... I can bring back the gong! No, wait, that would GET me killed...

I'll just wait for the Youtube video...

Providence was there to third party. We were shooting both sides.

Yes we operate on NRDS, the problem is we were in a warzone and all alliances involved in this are red to us.

I'm afraid you were collateral damage, you run into a warzone like that, we can only assume you are working for one of the hostile entities we were there to fight.

this will vary from FC to FC though.

BoBwins Law: As a discussion/war between two large nullsec entities grows longer, the probability of one comparing the other to BoB aproaches near certainty.
