Marks of Excellence - For PvEr's

First there came the Kill Marks on a ship that tallied the number of times a single ship had killed other PVP ships.

Now should come the time for Marks of Excellence.

Marks of Excellence are geared towards Combat Site Runners who complete a certain number of combat sites to receive the Mark of Excellence on their ship.

To receive a Mark of Excellence is determined by the total number of combat sites ran, the difficulty of the combat site ran and the Security Status of system that the site is ran in.

By the way status on the screen needs to be capitalized to create the word Status instead of being lower case.

For example a Capsuleer would need to achieve 2,000 Class One points from running Angel, Blood Raider,Guristas Sansha's Nation, Serpentis Burrows or Drone Collective in High Sector to receive a Certificate of Excellence that is then turned in to receive the Class One Mark of Excellence for their ship.

Once a Class has been finished and the Mark of Excellence earned the Capsuleer would be able to pursue the Class Two Mark of Excellence and so forth until all ten Classes of Combat Sites have been completed.

Breakdown of Mark of Excellence per Class of Combat Sites.

Class One - 2,000 points needed for Mark
Class Two - 2,100
Class Three - 2,500
Class Four - 3,000
Class Five -3,500
Class Six - 4,500
Class Seven - 6,000
Class Eight - 7,100
Class Nine - 8,500
Class Ten - 10,000

When Elite sites are encountered such as Hidden, Forsaken and Forlorn additional points are awarded based on system security as well as the Elite Status of the site.

Hidden - 5 points
Forsaken - 10 points
Forlorn - 20 points

Sites that escalate into even more difficult sites have an additional 100 points added to the overall net.

This is an idea that will definitely need to be tweaked but in the end will give the Combat Site Runner something more to achieve as well as being able to add Marks to their ships as well.

The average PvE ship would run out of space to paint mark on. Even the larger ones like Machariels.

How is running some site that 10-years worth of power creep and third party sites with the complete description of an achievement of any sort? The content is completely beaten, completely outclassed by modern ships, and thus impossible to lose at. Such marks might be a testament to a player's masochism, but an actual Mark of Excellence, I think not.

Make those sites actually challenging, then perhaps we can talk.

100% on point here.

What you think is strictly PvE is actually a form of PvP.

Vote Vic Jefferson for CSM X.....XI.....XII?

Krabicci marks ? Why not, then when you catch and dunk one you have a special killmark appearing on your ship: the golden bear.

On a more serious note: If you want to introduce a Mark of Excellence for pve, it should not only be measured in the quantity of missions / sites you do. That's just grind.

I think such a system should more reward variety and where you do it:

50 Sites (highsec) + 50 Missions (highsec) + 10 Incursions (highsec) = Batch 1 (Empire Defender Batch)

can be upgraded to Batch 2 (Borderland Patroller) if you do the following:

+50 Sites (lowsec) + 5 Escalations (lowsec) + 10 Burner Missions (lowsec)

can be upgraded to Batch 3 (Reckless wanderer) if you do the following:

+50 Sites (0.0) + 50 Missions (0.0) + Saving 10 Damsels in distress

...and so on with various numbers and challenges for Silver, gold, etc. versions.

More or less an achivement System for Pve'ers.
