Correct me if I'm wrong, or if this has already been stated, but for a echelon of fighters and fighter-bombers to come into contact in Black Rise they'd have to be scrambled in-system from an on-station super-carrier. While an independent group of capsuleers operating capital ships inside low-sec isn't unheard of there are major restrictions in how they can be employed, especially in a conflict region like Black Rise.

If a super-carrier really is out there acting in support of Caldari Navy forces, with apparently excellent intel capable of identifying and responding to a Guristas convoy, that hints at a well structured outfit used to operating in the area. However, if these were capsuleers one would think such a force would have ties to the militia in some way or at the very least would have been properly identified at the moment of its involvement in the CN operation. Otherwise I find it hard to believe an independent pilot could successfully get away with moving a super-carrier in system, remaining unknown to local forces, collecting intel on Gurista troop movements, and scrambling a wing of fighters to intercept. All the while keeping their damn mouth shut and declining to take credit for a seemingly well coordinated strike worthy of fame and admiration, no less.

Whoever did this very clearly wasn't Navy, militia, or even a capsuleer. They had some personal reason for attacking that convoy, which just happened to be chock full of CRU units normally reserved for ground combatants or similar reanimation technology. Curiouser and curiouser, indeed. I'll have to put my feelers out in the mercenary community and see if anyone has any sort of idea of who could have pulled this off. Whoever did this, I want to meet them.

I think that I've killed more Guristas before breakfast almost every day I lived in Deklein.

It is believed that an estimated four thousand Guristas personnel were killed in the assault, including medical and security staff along with crew and passengers."

Maybe they shouldn't be flying medical personnel unguarded through enemy territory? If I was stupid enough to fly a freighter through amar, caldari, honestly any space controlled by the major empires everyone on board and I would die too. The blame lies on the idiots flying the freighters not the Caldari Navy. How stupid can you be? They signed up to be an enemy of the state, maybe they should have chosen wiser, or simply used common sense in planning routes....

Or maybe they should. They make the job easier.
And no, that's not "murdered". That's "executed for piracy".

They were propbably too dumb to live anyways. Good riddance!

The Guristas corporate ladder is way more cutthroat than the one in the State! An honest to the core Guristas Pirate can, and probably will, sell his own grandmother and stab his friends in the back if it adds up an extra zero to their wallet or drops the Caldari Navy down a notch. Since there are so many splinter cell groups inside the Guristas and most of them being fully independent of each other, murderkilling a few of them only improves the overall quality of the organization!

And that is why they're the best pirate organization in New Eden. Anyone want a sip of rum?

In those early days of the Arek'Jambalaya project, I recall Gurista elements being interested primarily in sabotage and theft of trade secrets. Their posture stood in pointed contrast to the remarkable efforts of Revan Neferis and the archaeological powerhouse called Valate - though it makes sense for a self-empowerment movement to lead by positive example.

I cannot in good faith say that nothing good comes from Guristas, however. The Gila pleases me without limit - as fine a zombie carapace cracking utensil as ever there was.

I'm guessing these Valkyrie guys: https://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/world-news/ded-urges-caution-after-rogue-messages-appear-on-hacked-scc-billboards/

The timing of the attack and the hacking of billboards urging attacks on Guristas is too close to be coincidental imo.

Can't say I feel too sympathetic towards Guristas, but still, freighters are mostly defenseless. I am more than sure that the Navy is able to apprehend a bunch of doctors and passengers.

I this case I suspect it was likely the opposite given the nature of the freighters cargo.

It may have already been stated but perhaps it was determined that a boarding action presented too great a risk for the Caldari Navy Marines and that the likelihood of an engagement with a force of cloned soldiers was high.

Jaalan, Ms. Noh. Not Jambalaya. It means 'Dissident' in Napanii. And probably it is the number one reason to not trust any of these Arek'Jaalan-ers. Besides them being obvious pirates (since hijacking a vessel is an act of piracy). They stole a whole freighter from Ishukone.

I would put Arek'Jaalan organization at the same level as Gurista organization and will suggest similar approach in dealing with them. Shoot on contact.
