There's going to be a lot of text here to read. The reason? It's better when recruiting to be as open and transparent as possible. Why? So you can get the correct recruits. Many recruiters in this game are happy to sell you a song and dance, morphing their pitch to fit whatever it is they think the person talking to them wants.

There's a gazillion corps in EVE, and more started everyday. So why yet another corp?

There needs to be a corp for those of us who want to small/medium gang PvP without having to deal with edge-lords and douche-maestros in our ear-holes.

It's really just that simple. EVE without EVEbarassment. So let's not waste your time, really...

Hit the back button now if...
- "Hey, they call each other that, why can't I say it!"
- "lol we raped them because **** is totally like killing space pixels and it's fun to say I raped someone!"
- "omg I'm so high right now and/or drunk which I'm probably not but I don't have a personality so I just talk about getting high and/or drunk incessantly!"
- "Let me tell you guys about this chick I slayed... with my ****! Guys I'm going to tell you all about having sex please believe me it actually happened, no really!"

If you do any of the above on comms, there's like... five thousand corps that are perfect for you. You will absolutely not have a hard time finding a corp. Have fun! And get out mi'thread!

When it comes to finding a corp in EVE, there is typically a sad, clear choice. Either you can join a corp that bills itself as classy/mature who invariably don't PvP much or you can join a corp that advertises small/medium gang PvP but has junk like slurs, usually untrue tall tales about sex, dank this, dank that... dank dank dank... or the worst... that high-pitched voice on voice comms, the sign of a fellow that hasn't yet quite smashed through the last part of the puberty process. It's just so tiring.

So the goal is to accumulate some like-minded Old Spacemen that want to PvP and aren't annoying edgelords. Do you necessarily have to be an ancient fellow? Nope. Do you even need to necessarily be a fella at all? Nah! Just need the basic maturity and social intelligence that you'd use offline.

Additionally, do you need to be a l33t PvP'er? Nope. Hell, honestly would prefer that you aren't. We're not a l33t-PvP outfit. To us, there's no kill too small. Not about being some quasi-RnK group, so if you're looking for something like that, you'll have to look elsewhere. On that note... do you need globs of SP or PvP experience? Nope. We'll be flying fairly cheap stuff for the most part and are happy to try to teach you the basics of PvP in EVE. You will die from time to time. Nobody will yell at you about it or make fun of you.

Culture out of the way, let's talk specifics.

- Timezones
So our timezone situation is a work in progress, here are the strongest time-zones we have currently:
Sunday -> Thursday: Between 1500-1930 and between 2100 and 0000 are our strongest timezones during the week.
Friday + Saturday: Between 1500 and 0300 is quite active.

We have veteran pilots in later USTZ during the week but I cannot guarantee they will be up for leading a fleet each night. So for a later USTZ person, you have to keep in mind that there may not be an opportunity each night during the week in USTZ for a roam. However, there almost always is on Friday/Saturday nights.

- Focus on small/medium gang PvP roams and gate camps
Not "lol we got 20 guys, we're flying small gang" but talking 2-15 people, roaming or gate-camping, responding to traffic through our staging, that sort of thing. No structure shoots, no dreams of a giant POS empire or joining some mega-blue coalition. Just some PvP whenever possible. No chasing rainbows for us. Are you allergic to humping a gate once in a while or ganking nerds? Then we're absolutely not for you.

- Living in NPC Delve
Situated right smack between Querious and Sov-Delve, can roam to shoot at whoever is living in Delve, can roam over to Querious and run around one of the most populated regions of null-sec, can even head south to Period Basis and watch as Russian bots warp their ratting ships into POS's. Okay, so two of those options sound good at least. Are all the kills super exciting kills? Nope. But there are kills to be had.

- Logistics
Already have gear and material staged, ready for recruits. Fit ships on contract, in the process of finalizing two brawling and two kiting doctrines. Need something imported? Not a real issue, will be at least a couple JF runs each week.

- How do you make isk?
It's NPC Delve so if you really need some isk, you can either grind some pirate missions or you can go run an incursion somewhere in high-sec or you can do market stuff. It is not really safe to mine, and honestly, that's not a great way to make isk anyways. This won't be a PvE corp so making isk is really something that will be left to your own devices. However, can promise that there is no shame in flying low-cost PvP ships and if you're super poor, we can SRP your insurance costs at least.

- Casually active and actively casual
The idea is to keep things pretty casual in terms of time requirements. Living in an NPC station allows us to do that. No structure shoots, no PAP links, no giant bluefest, no blobs of ships. You can't log on but once a week because of your offline schedule? Fine by me. Need to go AFK for two weeks? Your stuff will be fine in our staging location for when you want to log back in. Whether you're super active or semi-inactive, it doesn't really matter when it comes to our focus on small gang roams and camps.

The overall goal? Simple, to build up numbers to have solid PvP activity in both EUTZ and USTZ. Nothing more, nothing less.

We started recruiting on March 17th, 2016. So far we have a decent mix of older players from the previous successful corp I ran and a good amount of fresh faces. Our fleet size is generally 3-10 people right now (May 2016). We tend to fly fairly cheap compared to most smaller entities, making use of effective and cheap ships to try to kill as many things as possible. There is no kill too small in our view.

In the first two months of the corp (Between March 17th and May 17th, 2016), we had over 2700 kills. During the first two months, we made roaming to Querious and shooting at Horde/Brave/PFR our priority. With Horde leaving Querious and PFR falling apart, we're now pivoting back towards being a nuisance in Delve. PvP-wise, we have a lot of patience and try to set up to be disruptive, whether it's pissing people off by camping their evac routes, kiling their cynos incessantly or trying to do random ambushes on the stragglers of larger gangs.

Unlike most small gang entities, we're not trying to be some elite PvP outfit. We're not trying to practice some weird form of internet spaceship bushido. We don't pretend to only take fair fights or try to puff ourselves up with bullshit e-machismo. Our job is to be excellent to one another while killing everything we can possibly kill, irrespective of it's size or value.

Here are some testimonials:
- [14:51:51] Chewwey > **** U
- [22:54:45] Btr0n > u guys are such fuckign cowards
- [13:15:00] mining queens > best pvp ever aint it blowing up cynos that cant shoot back
- [13:21:30] Samu Bamu > **** YOU let me leave
- [15:27:42] Kiyoebu Uosaki > You absolute ****
- [22:03:30] sloth Enaka > well **** you guys XD
- [22:05:16] Mr3dk1 Kernawitz > yo **** you you little ***** lol
- [20:26:01] B0DACI0US METH0S > EAT MY ******* ****
- [00:09:14] Bay Arnoux > the log off trap is going to get u banned
- [23:36:04] Ghengis Xu > **** you
- [03:06:14] Lee HyeRi > If CCP ever hosts a tournament for best cyno pvp, you guys should definitely enter
- [23:17:23] Fei Min > hang on we are coming to visit u
- [20:55:21] Mr3dk1 Kernawitz > no honor
- [22:14:45] Remmy Alduin > suck my **** from the backside of my nuts
- [20:05:56] Elftor > YOU ******* GYPSIES

Obviously, we're all about making friends.

The culture aspect sounds good to you, but you're looking for something else other than an exclusive focus on small/medium gang PvP? That's cool. Here's a quick list of other options.

- If you're looking for a wormhole corp with a similar culture in terms of not being a cockface, check out the old corp I created and built, Reasonable People, who are recruiting for their WH operations.

- If you're looking for a sov-null experience where you can PvE and PvP, I spent a few days in Off the Reservation and they were a nice, friendly group of fellows. Plus the guy that runs the alliance is accessible and seems pretty trustworthy.

Random Monthly TL-DR's

March 14th to March 31st, 2016: So I started recruiting for the corp on March 14th and had a great response. About half of those players I've flown with in our prior corp, a few of which re-subbed to join... which to me is the highest compliment and greatly appreciated. At the end of March, we had picked up 35 pilots, of which 24 were unique pilots rather than alts. Of those 24, twelve are people who weren't in my previous corp and twelve are Old Spacemen who we had originally recruited back with the first corp I started. We ended March with 518 kills and an isk efficiency of 82%, which isn't too super terrible considering that a chunk of our kills were Hordelings in Querious, which don't tend to be the highest value killmails. A decent start!

April 1st to May 1st: Killed 1,338 things. Yep, one past l33t status, obviously. We're up around 30 something unique pilots split across EUTZ, Early EST and PST. Fleets are averaging 4-10, starting to get some fights. Mostly went and shot at Querious fellows. Hopefully in May we're able to be a bit more active in Delve now that Delve itself has started to gain a bit of population.

Did you know: Enough sunlight reaches the earth’s surface each minute to satisfy the world’s energy demands—for an entire year.

Except in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where only enough sunlight reaches the surface yearly to barely power a hand-cranked radio. What's the forecast? Cloudy. What's the length? Your entire life. That's why I picked a staging system where there's a massive ball of red gas occluding the sun, just so it feels like home. Tired of cancer-shine roasting your skin cells? Did you know: Corn dextrin, a common thickener used in junk food, is also the glue on envelopes and postage stamps

Which is why I always mocked people when they criticized my eating stamps, nothing like that delicious Corn Dextrin to start the day right. I always preferred mowing down on the 32 cent stamp personally, a better mix of paper product and tasty glue-stuffs than today's 49 cent stamp. Looking for a corp to mail your application to? Did you know: A wormhole (a.k.a. an Einstein-Rosen Bridge) is a hypothetical “tunnel” that connects two different points in space-time. In theory, at the end of a wormhole could be two universes. Some scientists speculate that our universe could be located within the interior of a wormhole, which itself is a part of a black hole that lies within a much bigger universe

No wonder our local chat is so screwed up. So basically we just need to launch some probes and find our way out of this friggin' system. Seems like scientists need to start working on a little shite mini-game where we can overlap small white sphericals to find the proper route to a system with better security status. Tired of living in a wormhole either in-game or out-of-game? Swing by OLDS chat today and have a chat.

Xavier is one of the best FCs that I've flown with. He built up my corp from nothing, and is one of (and perhaps even "the") original founders of the "don't be a dickhead" culture in EVE (which really shouldn't need to be a special type of culture, but sadly is).

If you join his corp you will learn how to PVP, and Delve/Querious is a great place to be doing it.

Also you'll probably fly Scythe Fleet Issues. Which is sexy. As hell. +1

Thanks Robnik, nice of you to post that.

Did you know: Some historians argue that Prince Charles is a direct descendant of the Vlad the Impaler, the son of Vlad Dracul.

This feels like there should be a movie based around this concept. Prince Charles going around, being a villain, being hated by people because... wait... nevermind, that's already kind of reality, innit? Are you tired of flying with a bunch of people who remind you of Prince Charles, well... if he was a fratboy sounding douchebag fella? If so, swing by OLDS chat today as much like Dracula, we want to help drain your life of flavor by helping you play more EVE.

Did you know: In the U.S., more women than men are tattooed (23% vs. 19%), according to a 2012 survey

And in 2020, 4% more women than men will be frequenting tattoo removal shops in order to fix the mistakes they made eight years prior when they were young and dumb. Do you want to remove the butterfly of F1 pushing from your body of EVE gameplay? Are you wishing to erase the kanji of hearing goofballs do look-at-me stuff from around your ear-lobe? If so, swing by OLDS chat today so we can ink up your application and start you on the path to a clean slate.

Did you know: Women in Whitesville, Delaware, could be charged with disorderly conduct if they propose marriage to a man.

If you've ever been to Delaware and seen the type of fellas living there, you'd well understand the wisdom of that law. No woman should ever really want to marry a man from Delaware. Looking for a corp to avoid dealing with Delawar...uh...ians? Is that' what they're called? Delawarions? Delawartonians? Well whatever, swing by OLDS chat today and we'll try to introduce you to the concept of orderly conduct in EVE.

Did you know: American Indians used to believe that spirits peacefully lived inside each popcorn kernel. When the kernels were heated, the spirits would get so angry that their “houses” would start to shake. When it got too hot, the spirits broke out of their houses in a very angry burst of steam

Yup, and people wonder why they lost the Plains Wars to the United States. I wonder how much peyote you have to bathe yourself in to come to the conclusion that spirits live in kernels and that by making popcorn, you are offending some random gods. Are you looking to break out of your shell and explode into a small/medium gang PvP'er in an amazing transformation? Great, swing by OLDS chat today and we'll see if we can't butter up your game-time.

Did you know: Ancient Greeks were known to spit on themselves to ward off the Evil Eye, and the ritual extended to babies as well. Medieval nurses licked the faces of their charges, while peasants all over the world would spit in the faces of babies

That just sounds like a really great excuse to have in order to practice the joy of spitting in the faces of babies. "Oh, ma'am, I only spit on your baby so that it would be safe from Mordor! I meant no offense" while snickering, I'm sure. Do you want to spit in the face of EVE "babies" like random Pandemic Horde pilots and the like? Then swing by OLDS chat today so we can help you ward off the Evil Eye of EVE boredom.

Did you know: In Mohave County, Arizona, if anyone is caught stealing soap, he must wash himself with it until the soap is gone.

I have a similar rule for myself, just with pie. If I steal a pie, I will eat that pie until the pie is entirely gone. Oh yeah, and it doesn't matter if I'm caught stealing the pie. Y'know, perhaps the only thing more delicious than stolen pie are mounds of killmails (ha ha, that's not true) . Did you know: Some studies suggest a correlation between a sport team’s performance and fans’ suicide rates

If that were true, the poor people in Philadelphia would be off'ing themselves left and right due to the 76'ers. Yeah, but what about a bag of peanut butter M&M's? Because y'know, peanut butter is better for you than chocolate, right? Right?
