2 pauses on each undocking

Sitting in station i press 'undock'. These arrows blink couple seconds then i get message "...NPC will attack you" (i'm in FW in enemy high-sec). Pressing "yes, kill me!' i get couple seconds of black screen and then i'm finally undocked!

For non-FW players warning dialog will not be shown but still they have 2 pauses.

I can imagine that undocking is heavy procedure and thus i get pause. But....

We all have to wait couple of seconds after we press Undock before actual undocking starts. Why not do some preparation to actual procedure when 'undocking' is on? Or this time is already used for something?

Would be interesting to know something about it.....

Scotty, the docking manager, is not amused!! You are questioning his procedures!!Twisted

Well, there's that whole "abort undock" option that you need time to click.

I don't see why CCP couldn't allocate a couple of staff for a few weeks to code in a quick animation at least to fill the void in undocking. They did it for jump gates and it made the game much more immersive , in my opinion.

All I care about is the vulnerability window: Can I be shot while I'm still in some sort of loading screen? (When I'm finally in game, am I in pod, as well?) Digital nailbiters who want the world to conform to their tiny attention spans and total lack of patience don't interest me in the least. I wouldn't move an atom for them. I hope CCP agrees. Cool

This is why you have a minute of invulnerability when undocking.

now you have flashing undock button PLUS black screen after it

Usually i have about 8 seconds of black screen every undock (session change timer is almost out when i see anything). And i've seen people reporting the same here.

I have undocked and been shot immediately when my screen loaded even though the time between when I hit undock and finally loaded grid outside was WELL less than 1min, somewhere in the 20-30s range in fact, when I petitioned it CCP said it was all normal.Roll

So yeah its really not a minute at all in some cases. Id love to see the vulnerability timer START when you actually load grid outside the station rather than have it start BEFORE when you initiate the undocking procedure. Its really not fair to those who cant/wont pay for awesome equipment computer wise or those with crappy ping timers to London. And Im not even running a crappy computer.

It's actually 10 seconds.

Confirm you can be shot during the black screen of undock. (Lost a fairly expensive ship to this exact problem) I dont know what is causing this, but it started appearing for me/happening to me and my corp mates around November. And it is NOT just the first undock of the session. Press undock, count to 3, hangar fades to black. I can hear things happening, but literally count to 8-15 seconds before anything appears on screen. So far, lost only 1 ship, but still frustrating.

Quad core i5 3.2GHz 8GB RAM R7 260X Not super duper but it gets the job done well. I do need more RAM and a better card though and theres some juicy ones out there lately that I have my eye on.

Sorry toaster isnt something here. Now if you want one of my 4 computers, the oldest IS a toaster and even IT runs 3 clients fine.Roll
