Just curious what pvp will look like when two or more citadels are only couple hundred km away from eachother. what sort of close quarter pvp scenarios are expected? Is this going to create a new form of pvp where you can reship much faster and never ending battles would happen a lot? Obviously having fleet fight at the doorstep of a citadel is not a likely middle ground where most fights will be happening

You mean the game turns into a MOBA?

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

Can't happen, 500km range limit and that will be increased if they increase range.

nah im not suggesting anything. I mean literally a couple hundred km away from eachother the way ccp intends it to be. What new pvp scenarios will we see with the current way things are heading. There is no hidden agendas here ladies

It literally can't happen.

When you say two citadels clashing, I imagine two citadels literaly shooting at each other.

Why would anybody even bother putting a citadel next to someone else's citadel?

Given warp acceleration and such, it'd be pretty much as fast reshipping from anywhere in the system as another citadel on grid.

I guess 'literally' has different meaning for some people then.

If you 'mean literally a couple of hundred kilometers', then you don't mean 1000+ km at all.

English is hard.

Nothing to do with political correctness, just what you wrote, which literally can't happen.

LOL I can see RvB doing this tbh. Blue sets one and Red the other both in the edge of said grid as to ensure that its always on a common grid set and make the grid a free for all. Would be one way to do a battle arena in any system really.

Make rules, no engaging within such and such of the undock or something. Or have team matches with both undocking at the same time. Lots of nifty things you could do with it really. It would ironically not only be good for something like RvB but intercorp or interalliance fights. Only difference is that others can always pile on no matter what.

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Is there a limitation to the distance between 2 structures and the distance between a sov structure and theses new structures ?

There will be deployment restrictions, yes.

Mainly to avoid people to be insta-omg-BBQ-blapped when coming out of warp / stations, to avoid having space where structure defenses overlap or have them hidden inside landmarks or other anomaly sites.

4) Would it be possible to anchor two citadels close enough to one another so that they can fight each other? Citadel versus Citadel pvp??! That would be pretty fun and would open up a lot of gameplay options, especially in WH evictions.

4. No, because of so many reasons Bear

Unfortunately, my pleas that they implement a Citadel jump drive module have come to nothing.

I imagine the free for all will be at a neutral location between the two citadels. Will just one neutral location be enough, or will people decide on several neutral locations? is it more likely that they will include the undock as one of the places you can warp instead of having several arenas. I think the more popular choice will be to include the undock, not sure what the advantages of multiple neutral locations could be other than 'taking an objective' or 'warping off because your primaried'. I think one problem with undock is people can deagress so they can dock up, they dont have to continue fighting after having warped off

I think im starting to get a sense of what pvp might look like post-citadel, its almost like we are getting new 'highsec pvp mechanics' and "highsec war dec buff". Did not see this coming for some reason

You didn't try hard enough. Blink

This would be a real cool idea, an emergency one time jump drive, once initiated jumping the Citadel to a random location within 5ly (same sec or lower).
