Building My First Citadel, Yah!

Such a good day today. I am building my first Citadel.

Did that really say 23 hours left on anchoring ???? Where was that in the dev blogs ?

Yah, it takes 24hrs., but before there was a cluster shut down the Citadel finished in less than a half hour. It could auctually have been a bug, but I saw one of the dev mentioning the 24hrs. today. I recorded me docking, but there was no functionality and could not fit it or at least I could not find the fit window.

I am out right now, but when I get home I am going back on and do what I can and will let you know the outcome or I will wait for the fitting window to be active and then finish the video.

Quick question for everyone. How should I fit this thing. I am a solo industrialist and there is not many industry rigs. I do not PvP but need to fit this thing once I can.

Let me know or I will have to guess.

Just got home and I like I said the Citadel finished after a half hour or hour by bug I think. I won't put that video on youtube because I had no options, but I did take a lot of snapshot, you can check them out on my EVE blog at

Edited: WOW, I just logged on and there is 657 players on right now. That's the most I have ever seen.

OK so I finished building and fitting my first Citadel. Some people found the part two I uploaded during downtime.

I figure I should get some sleep before I have to go out for a couple hours and then I will set up my new home in null for this mirror and buy a large Citadel.

I was able to board and arm my Citadel in less than a few hours. I think you can dock and arm as soon as you deploy.
The competed model appears in less than an hour.


The last part of the timer says, "securing" so the 24 hrs might just be a standard vulnerability window to give time for the locals to respond and blow it up before it goes into its first in-vulnerability period.



Edit: This may have been due to issues during the first day because this hasn't repeated. Any new Citadel I have deployed looks to be taking the full 24 hrs before you can dock.
