OP, welcome to the forums, and I see you have meet the trolls and the proactive anti-trolls, the mighty guardians of this realm, haha!

As for your Raven, if you can tell me who your Missioning for (The most common NPC you face too), and whether you are more of a shotgun tactics (Fast moving, in your face) or more a patient hunter (Sit back and snipe things), and I will try and help you out, I have mainly been focusing on Solo PvP fits for the Raven but once I burn out my ideas for those fits each day I work on my PvE ones, I should be able to help you out a bit, add me in-game and make sure i'm on your Watch List (It's an option), I will give you a hand if i'm not doing a fleet or Solo'ing).

Rattlesnake gets expensive though, that one time you forget to recall Drones and you turn in Mission, Gecko's got cheaper sure, but they are still expensive to loose, Raven is good to learn in, then once he learns how to fit a T1 properly he can up to a RNI or a Rattle, and the Missile, fitting and Hull skills will cross over well, no one who is asking for advice on a how to fit a T1 ship should ever be recommended a Faction ship, that is just terrible advice on your parts. Let him learn one weapon system, one tank system, one Hull skill, and when he masters that, then he can up the anty, not before that though.
