The gifts of this latest patch on the Ides of March may be worthy of some caution. As you can see in my profile picture, these facial augments can extend well into the upper torso. While I am unsure about the developer difficulty of applying these model details, it no longer seems that far outside the realm of possibility to create skin blemish decals proposed in this topic:

CCP pulls the rug out and reveals skill injection use has a retroactive appearance deteriorating effect. Further use, exacerbates the effect.

I for one welcome our elusive Cytoplasm overlords, whatever the unforeseen consequences.

Or they could add it as a consequence of using the new drifter-based boosters. I have played way too many scifi games and read too many scifi books to risk using those boosters for a good long time yet.

CCP has demonstrated a willingness to add consequence to player events.
-Upwell penalizing the OSS for destroying a Citadel staging zone.
-The threat of hefty bounty for refusing to hand over Dr Hilen Tukoss' body.

With the new Drifter boosters CCP wrote in the description "using it as a booster should be considered carefully." It's more likely a capsuleer disease could come about Drifter drug use than Skill Injector use.

I would love to that. Considering I am 99.9% Injected so pure Synth. :)

And I will only allow the Synth generation into my corp showing from Stage 4.

Would there really be anything wrong with veiled consequences that something insidious may or may not come to fruition?

People who can read between the lines, or search for truths/conspiracies should be rewarded. I do agree to an extent that zero communication of changes and their consequences can be problematic and backfire horribly. On the other hand, bold changes can be catalysts for very dynamic player behavior.

Sure, we've taken many of the storytelling reigns from CCP to craft player driven narratives fraught with their own consequences. Still, playing with CCP's meta can be interesting in its own right. Eve is a living work of fiction that can benefit from calculated and potentially unexpected changes of an outside agent (SISI and the Chaos server are often a thorn in CCP's side for unveiling narratives).

People who are for a visual punishment for using injectors, always fail to answer why CCP would start a shaming shaming process for something they want people to do (spend money on the EVE universe/injectors)?

Apart from the people who want the visual alteration while they think it would be a cool RP element, most people for the punishment are mad CCP for implimenting injectors, and want to punish CCP by decreasing the amount people will use due to peer pressure, as they can publicly shame injector users (ohhh look at him, he injected, what a scrub!!!). Behind this original proposition are malign intension and I would not be surprised if CCP will not touch it with an iron rod.

Last time they did this it crashed and burned because unique secret info caches can have the entire thing ruined by one person just blowing stuff up without reading. And they've since learnt that players can't be trusted. Though they do seem to be forgetting that in some aspects of the Citadel expansion.
Also it adds incredible work for them to try and do that sort of thing.
