Alright seriously, what the hell were you guys thinking? I was looking forward to getting this armor so I could wear it while I fly around in my awesome SoE ships. And then I noticed that the chest is a pyramid. Have you guys ever seen a girl before? Because we aren't built like that!

I am outraged!! But seriously, I would like to see what this armor looks like on an actual female character. Does it just chop off your boobs, or does it stretch the armor around them thus ruining the super-angular look of it? If anyone has this armor already please post a pic so I can see how it looks. If it's as weird as I think then I will just spend all my credits on something else.

(bear in mind boob plate armour is a _really_ bad idea. and leads to things hitting you at weak points. flat plates are better)

Girls? Not. Armor plates? You bet it. At least this SoE armor looks like it's actual armor built to protect the wearer, and not this.

I don't think anyone has it yet. Project Discovery is a LONG grind. And besides, the grey mannequin has curves and the armor doesn't show them, so I think what you see is what you will get.

Besides, the best deflective shape for armor is completely rounded or boat hull shape.

And any way, with the SoE armor, all you need to do is crouch down a little, and all incoming projectiles will be funneled to your crotch, which, if you look again, is not armored at all.

So it's a great design. Roll

Thanks but you can see it on the mannequin in-game. Sadly there's no option to see it on your character like there is in the New Eden Store. That would also be a helpful thing, btw.

I have enough credits for it, and there are several in contracts already. I think you're right though, it probably just looks the same on a character model.

Great example of female armour. Note how it's basically identical to male armour except for very slightly more curve. Because you want to squish the breasts down before you put armour over the top of them anyway. Otherwise they'll bounce around inside the armour all day. Think sports bras vs normal bras with what you are doing.
Normal bras are designed to show off the breast while providing some support, sports bras are designed to give it maximum support. For armour, they can go even further sometimes.
Additionally any 'curve' which goes back in would actually result in a crushed sternum.

Also yes, people have more than enough AK for the armour. the highest people I know had 400k+ (some spent already) about 12 hours ago and are getting 10k AK per level up in PD.

After some online shopping, I have discovered that they do not in fact make pyramid-shaped sports bras.

They don't do miniatures or work in that fine detail.

I agree, it's a bit excessive, if it was as flat as the male one, and the male one was even slightly flatter with regards to it's pyramid, it'd look better. But at least it's not sternum crushing.

Female armor it's fictional. Also it's fictional any armor piece with pectorals or abdominals; that's homoerotic stuff from Hollywood.

There is no way in which a woman, any woman, can shape/could shape a piece of armor, of any matherial. Neither metal armor, nor leather armor, nor cloth armor. It's armor plates. They aren't meant to be flexible. Also ringmail is so heavy that will flatten/crush any woman's bosom.

Last, and by the way, there's very few cases of female warriors in western culture. One of the most notorious was the Spanish adventurer Catalina de Erauso, who was very unfeminine in her appearence and had a violent and cruel personality.

As someone actually involved in armour fighting circles, I can tell you with absolute certainty, female armour is not fictional, and females in combat was a lot more common than popular literature indicates. Most of them just had to cut their hair short so they would be taken for a boy. Exactly like happened in all the more recent wars also with woman enlisting under boys names, because of the sexist cultures of the times where woman 'weren't allowed' to fight.
The fact that a few women managed to overcome that and become famous as women doesn't mean there weren't other quieter ones who simply didn't become famous.
It however was pretty much the same as male armour, often exactly the same especially when talking the non plate varieties since they didn't need any differences if the armour was flexible on the torso. And the differences that did exist tended to be more related to things like the torso height being different on average.
