As the title says. My eve connection has been good. I'm from Australia so the occasional socket close is expected but ever since the servers were upgraded I have gone from 1 DC per week to 1 DC per hour. and I cant play with my 2nd account with out getting a DC on one of them every 20 mins.. also getting large lag spikes lasting 30 secs or more...

I'm not alone.. My AU TZ corp mates are also experiencing this problem. GM Response to our support tickets has been a generic.. its your ISP its not our servers.

CCP you need to fix this. It is something you have changed since servers were upgraded and its significantly affecting my TZ.

EDIT - Sorry I thought the other topic on socket closes was something specific to do with the launcher.. Feel free to merge this with the current 9 page topic on this problem

As I have been asking everyone else in that nine-page-long thread, what does a Pingplotter to client.eveonline.com show during a disconnect event? Post a screenshot please.

Another question is does connecting through a VPN stabilise your disconnects? If it does, then this is an indication that there is an issue somewhere along the path from you to Tranquility.

If you have not given any diagnostics information or tried to figure out where the issue is, the GMs will turn around and say that a small number of users disconnecting randomly is not the servers as usually socket closeds are due to an issue with your setup, an ISP issue or an issue somewhere else along the route from you to CCP that is out of your ISP's and CCP's control. Running some diagnostics and working out where the issue is will give you an idea of who to poke and give you some ammo if it is not your connection.

One of Australia's main undersea cables was severed in early February and then on the 29th of feb, coincidently the same day as the TQ move, a number of other undersea cables used for providing Internet connectivity in the Asia-Pacific area were also severed and have been causing issues with connectivity in the region.
