Blocking a player should apply to their entire account

If this was implemented, do you realize how fast you would be blocked Droidster?

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

I will have to -1 this. Where do you define alts? All the accounts on the same email? Just those on that account? If someone is spamming you with convos, just open a petition to CCP and I'm sure they would get dealt either a warning or a short ban to knock their shenanigans off.

Personally I have not had that issue, and I have not heard about anyone complaining about this issue other then the OP, so once again, -1.

Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012.

I have no desire to protect spammers.. but could this idea not be used as a back handed way to identify alt accounts?

  - remove the cloaked from local; free intel is the real problem, not  "afk" cloaking -

Many players have a lot of vested interests in keeping alts anonymous. Anything that could easily give them away without having full APIs will face a lot of flak, even if fundamentally you are right, as it is not a toon you want to block but the player behind the toon.

Support my campaigning for the end of risk free use of anonymous alts by putting me on your CSM XI vote ballot, and send a clear message to CCP that may be it is time to look again at the influence anonymous alts have on the game, and how anonymous alts do not fit the risk versus reward model Eve is based on.

I would easily use this to see who someone's alts are. WoW is a terrible source for good game design inspiration.

Who are you then? Please list all of your alts on all accounts. Bare in mind if i don't see a player with at least 3-4 years experience i will assume you lack the correct knowledge base to act as CSM. If i see a 3-4 year old character i will of course mistrust you for not posting with your main.

Good luck with the campaign Cool

Who are *you*?
You could be anybody, including one of those puppeteer with dozens of account pulling the strings of New Eden and hard at work to discredit those that challenge your interests.
The age of alts does not mean much. Go vote as your bloc told you, or, if you have minions under another alt, make sure to tell them who to vote for to best protect your interests.. May be, one day, they will get tired of it....

This just means of I suspect you of being an alt I can easily test it

This is a difficult stretch.

1) If the system does not provide you with a list of blocked toons, this becomes difficult to determine.
2) This becomes even further difficult to determine if that person is not chatting in local or any other means.

If I think you are an alt of Lugh, I block lugh and see if I can still communicate with you.

Have blocks only affect incoming communication. That way, you can't use it to test potential alts. I mean, is there really a problem if I can still trashtalk to someone after I block him? He can block me if he does not appreciate my free bad 2nd language insults...

Then you simply verify with an alt and you learn the exact same thing.

OP is why we need a dis-like button.

For a game like EvE, a dislike button would be appropriate. It'd send the right message to those who don't know what kind of forum they're dealing with Twisted
