Can we have a CCP Seagull and the rest of the team appreciation thing?

So yeah, well we all know the down times sucked, but hey. I was expecting the transition to be a lot more bumpy than that to be quite honest. So you know, thanks to CCP for trying your best with the transition and thanks for the quick updates on all of the servers ups and downs. Should we have got compensation for it? No, but hey 200k Skill points are always appreciated!

So yeah, cheers to CCP for resolving the issues as quickly as possible and thanks for the Skill points Seagull. It wasn't a logical descision to make from a business perspective in the sense that it might cause a few less people to buy skill injectors of the next few weeks, but I'm sure it will help player happiness for awhile - until we find something new to complain about and beg for stuffs!

(Sorry about that) Lol

Menthol? (cringes)

Also, that's not water in that water bottle...is it?

Anyways, TY to CCP. 200K SP really is too much, but I humbly bow to you guys in silent appreciation anyways. Much love...

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

Ewwww, just... ewwww.... Ugh

Yes, agree with the OP, CCP staff endures a hail of arrows, heavy artillery and even quite a few skilled snipers that are always on their case.

Props to the CCP team and keep trying to make the game better, even if it means your have to move or serve a few sacred cows for dinner. One favor though, never become deaf to those that want to work with you on that make the game better goal, even if some of us can be a little... confrontational.

Thanks again guys.

LOL! I humbly bow to no one who's providing the service they agreed they'd provide for the money I agreed to pay.
They keep their end of the deal. I keep mine.

However, if through some technical difficulty I fail to come across with my payment, I know some folks that aren't going to be understanding about that at all. Which, naturally, is more than a little one-sided.

Nah. They choose an adversarial approach to what they do. They'll get it from me.

I don't expect the refund ($) for the downtime. But, I do think by the rules corporations play by, they do owe me. Just as surely as they'll say I owe them if I meet their parameters. And, I don't have to say, they will say it without hesitation.

Bow humbly to those who might deserve it.

Except remember those developers that you're paying are still people and they're still working bloody hard day in day out to give you the game that you want. They don't owe you anything for a couple hours of extra down time in order to provide you with a better experience for the future. From that alone we are getting a brilliant deal.

It's also important to remember that now with the unlimited skill queues it's not as if you're actually losing skill points overall. So yes, a mistake was made, but they kept us constantly updated (Falcon <3), they worked quickly and managed to fix the issue within hours. I'm sure I won't have to remind you of the horrors of unexpected downtime in the past...

All in all, they did a good job!

They just gave you 200K skill points for the problem, which they didn't have to do and you definitely didn't pay for. The terms of service EXPRESSLY STATE IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS that CCP are under no obligation to compensate anyone for technical difficulties, and you as a paying customer should expect them from time to time. These are terms you agree to when you pay. But they did it anyway.

So take your entitlement and cram it in your earhole. Shouldn't be too hard with all that free space up there.

That's not even the half of it. Here's LIVE VIDEO of the actual server failure.

Back in EVE for the first time in a couple years and I like what I see both in-game and from the company. A couple extra hours of downtime for a major datacenter move is a small price to pay. Well done CCP.

I am just thankful for their hardwork, while also considering how they were working late in the evening to get it fixed.
