Hi all,

I have been exploring for quiet a while in my carreer, mostly using Ishtars in lowsec and alot of ships in high sec.

Now however, I am wondering about the possibility to fly bubble imune cloaky T3's able to scan down and complete DED combat sites.
Asuming I can fly all ships, is there a way to pull it of? I know DPS will probably be on the low side, yet I am curious.

Often I hear: "Use mobile depot instead" and switch travel fit for DPS fit, but I don't think I can carry 2 extra sub systems + depot in my cargo + ammo..?
How does the mobile depot work anyway, can it be scanned down? (that would make it lose all use to me..)

All advice is welcome!

If only there was a gun that would have infinite ammo and this infinite ammo was only 1m³ in size, what would it be?

Are you referring to lasers / drones, or mentioning that I might be asking a bit much?

I am curious for the way of working using mobile depot. Is it safe to use, or can it be scanned down relatively easy?
Say someone scans me down, it's a risk to warp to the mobile depot to fit a cloak as they might've already scanned the depot down... ?

100mn ab Lazor Legion , swap the cloaky sub in site.
if you get a shiny m-depo it isnt a liability for scanning purposes

I have been using a cloaky Tengu for years. I carry a Mobile Depot, but it's mostly so I can switch from HAMS to Heavies, or occasionally fit an Armor rep to fix myself.
I also fit Cargo expanders on my way out sometimes, so I can carry more ammo.
You'd want to swap out the scanner after you find a site also.

I have never actually changed subsystems. I get weak DPS because of that, but I can also jump out a gate at anytime. The safety of that makes it worth it to me.
Pretty much tank any 10/10 but I need help killing some station/tower structures.

Use a mobile depot and just refit between sites.

Another space-saving idea is to use standard containers to increase your carrying capacity. I'm AFG right now and since I can't access the Evelopedia anymore (grrrrrr) my numbers may be off slightly, but a small container takes up 100m3, while netting you an additional 20m3. A medium container will net you around 60-ish. You've something like 440 cargo, so a small container and medium container will fit in your hold leaving you something like 15 m3 to spare. Doing this nets you about 80 more m3 of space which is something close to (again, kind of going by memory here) 2 subsystems.

I wonder how you cope with being hunted if you are running a site.

Situation: You are running a combat site, have mobile depot in cargo togheter with cloaking device.
High slots are all turrets/missiles.
You see combat probes on D-Scan.

What do you do, as you cannot cloak, and setting up the depot takes to much time.

I guess you can leave the depot somewhere, meaning that they can be waiting there by the time you get there to refit... ?

You start running. Jumping between safespots and creating new safe spots. Till they get boared or till your timer runs out.

Tengu is great for DED5+ PVE. You can have a tengu setup that has 6 launchers + improved cloak in case you need to bail. The Achilles heel of tengu is the cargo space. You can't even store enough missiles to run a full escalation. I've got one with a cargohold rig trying to increase my ability to stay in space longer, but it's a pain.

I've experimented with a Legion, but I haven't found a good exploration fit that has good DPS.

If re-fitting at a depot (You should do it, get a Yurt) is not your thing, the Proteus can reach good enough DPS (550'ish) even when cloaky-nullified. It's completely locked into kinetic rats, has awful gun range and only some projection with light drones. I used it years ago following escalation expeditions into null. It worked well enough.
