Dear ccp....calling it early downtime...? really...?

"We have an early downtime on the Tranquility server on March 1, starting at 9:00 UTC.

This is a regular downtime and not an emergency reboot or similar. During the downtime we will run some cleanup jobs and then start TQ again.

The usual downtime, starting at 11:00 UTC, won't take place on March 1. The next downtime starting at 11:00 UTC can be expected on March 2."


The server just crashed and calling it early downtime.....just admit that the server has crashed, dont call it early downtime....

I can understand the server going unstable with the new equipment and stuff...but call it early downtime after like 10 mins after

server crashing is just weirddd

They need to know that people is getting old. Its not 2004.

CCP was always bad in terms of server downtimes, notices etc... it just isn't worth complaining. Just go do something else and come back in a couple of hours and hope that the server is back online. This here been going on since 2004, nothing we can do about it.

I've had a break from the game for two years and only came back fairly recently, in a way it's comforting to see that CCP hasn't changed one bit, you would have thought with Tranquility being the artery of all their positive income they'd have the service totally fail proof.

Surely we've all paid countless times for that assurance?

I have been unable to stay connected to the server all day. Socket resets galore.

Am I the only one having this issue?

Seems like a good time to do their downtime maintenance stuff since the servers down anyways.

Seriously though folks, they've been transitioning to shiny new hardware; **** happens. get over it.

They forgot to shift back the database DT time from 09:00 to 11:00 so the DB shut down and started jobs at the wrong time.

Not the first time hehe.
