I notice that there is a skill Capital Remote Hull Repair.

Under what circumstances would this skill ever be used. Do capital ships even fit remote hull repairers ever?

They are used to repair player owned stations mostly, POS.
Also, if a capital ship survives a fight, a capital rep is sure a lot faster than a Guardian or Basilisk

POS stands for Player Owned Starbase :P
Stations imply that you can dock at them and they're indestructible.

But yeah, pretty much what he said. Repairing of structures.

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

Capitals in hull don't usually survive to be repped.

Starbase modules are incapacitated with only 1% hull damage, so a battleship without capacitor modules can easily remote rep them.

Upcoming citadels self-repair.
