Loot management in non-corp fleets

Is there any way to control loot in a fleet? For example, if I am ganged with someone who is not in a corp with me or I just know casually and we do a complex and something valuable drops, it would appear he can just take it and leave. Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

There are several ways, including, but not limited to:

Warp scramblers
Warp disruptors
Warp disruption field generators
Interdiction sphere launchers
Getting there first
Preemptive annihilation of your fleetmate

Use your words, appeal to their humanity. When that inevitably fails you may need to resort to passive aggression or even just the regular flavour of aggression.

No, eve is a harsh world and there is nothing stopping you taking the valuable module and running with it. You can see what people have taken from the fleet window though.

If it isn't my mates, I will crash a Plex and steal the loot 100% of the time.

I will add that I am sure of my capabilities, and theirs when I do this.

If it's a camp or roam, loot goes to pay any pilots who lost ships.

So there is no loot "settings" just good ole' fashioned ehonor. Do with that what you will.

Loyd and Ralph's advice is as solid as any, and if they take the time to post in your thread their advice is usually the most usable. They may seem like trolls, but you have to understand their bitter cynicism.

If you say so. Smile

I don't consider myself bitter, I simply tell it like it is. The game is what it is, the only people who would consider me or Ralph a troll, simply don't accept the game for what it is or in some cases are oblivious to what it is.

Let me rephrase that question for you Droidster.

Is there an in game switch that will prevent my "friends" from stealing MY loot?

Answer - No there is no switch you can use to prevent it.

"If you do not see it my way I have not been sufficiently violent with you."
I heard that once and in a different setting but it seems appropriate to this situation so I leave it here for you to consider.

It's a large part of the meta game. You're pretty much a fool if you are not cynical. To me there is a large difference between bitter cynicism and cynicism is all I was saying. The need for cynicism is one of the things that makes the game great, however, if you let it degrade into bitter cynicism you are either pigeonholeing your game play or not enjoying it and should probably stop playing.

BTW, this can still happen in a corp fleet. It can happen in any fleet. Fly with those you only trust or you know IRL.

Also, what is to prevent the OP from taking the loot and not sharing the dividends? Answer: Nothing.

I get called a lot of things in this game. While I don't let it bother me, I do think about the things people say. When people I respect say things that make me think they don't really know where I am coming from I will take the time to try to articulate it better.
