A new player, I'd like to introduce myself

Hello!
I have just joined the game and I thought I'd say hello and introduce myself. I'm a gamer from Italy, and I felt like trying and play this game I'd heard about for such a long time. Seeing that there is a two-week trial available, I thought I'd give it a try and despite the difficulty to understand the various parts the game is made of, I find it immensely fascinating.
And already in the first day I found a GM so kind as to link me to video tutorials and wikis on how to play, which has been immensely helpful.
Are there other games from my same country?
Also cheers everyone! I'm hoping to become a successful hauler or trader in the future :)

Of course there are other gamers from Italy.

The forums only have Russian, French, and German sub-forums (in addition to the English), but here's a thread that lists the in-game language-specific chat channels.

Feel free to ask questions here, too; the Newbie Questions and Answers sub-forum is pretty good at getting people started.

Right now I'm grinding on my mining barge as I've done some of the missions for career agents. The exploration ones were the most enjoyable, but right now I've decided to hoard some ISK in order to buy proper equipment. It's a bit dull, to be there alone mining in Conoban, so I was wondering. Okay I'm part of the Hedion University right now. But that felt like a bit of a default choice for a beginner. What other groups are there in the nearby? I'm in Amarr space right now and I'd love to meet new people and chat while ingame (and grinding asteroids :))... any suggestions on a rookie-friendly group that has some chat fun in the nearby area? I'm not sure I even want to leave high security space for now...
