If not already an option, it would be nice to control how many of the solar systems show up on the map, like can be done with lines. It would be nice to limit them by region, neighbors...only a new menu need be added to the Stars tab in the World Map Control Panel.

There is an option, it's clustering I believe, that lets you make areas other than the selected one show up by either actual systems, a marker for the constellation and a marker for the region.

I'm not referring to the labels, I mean the actual star systems, the dots representing them. If I'm flying around and staying within a region, it would be nice not to have to see all the other systems around.

Firstly I assumed you were using the new map?
Secondly I'm pretty sure clustering does remove the extra dots.

Yes, the Stars themselves. You won't entirely get rid of everything, but like he said, you can condense the areas on non-interest into one single blip for the size you chose.

E: it's a beta map feature, not the old one.
