Extracted Skills

Hello All,

I believe this may have been posted already but here I go anyway. When you extract skills, lets say for example, all of your industry skills all the way down to 0. Once you extract them the skill remains there but at level 0, I find this to be kind of annoying as I would like to remove the skill permanently. CCP could you consider making this an option? Being able to remove the book when it is currently sitting at level 0? I would like to hear who else would like to see something like this implemented. Thanks

This is intended I believe. Just think of it like this, you have all those skills at 0, so that means if you ever decide to train those skills again you won't need to buy and inject another skillbook.

Why not collect a lot of skillbooks and inject them? Your character will be prepared for anything. Embrace the 0.

Think of it this way. If you could delete those 0-SP skills entirely, some people would do it by mistake. This way, nobody ever has to ask for a GM to rescue them from paying twice for the same skillbook.

This frees up our GMs to handle more dire issues.

If it's about GMs and tickets, then meet us halfway.

Allow us to "Hide" skills we don't want to see on our page. Hidden skills would show on a new tab so we could unhide them later if we choose.

I -really- hate having to look at skills on my skillsheet I don't want to be there. Hiding them gets rid of that problem and avoids the problem you just described.

There is already a filter option to hide skills with 0 points.

I'd like the ability to hide skills that aren't at 0 sp too.

A "Hide all skills at 0 SP" toggle would be nice for us OCD kids. Everything else has a filter system nowadays. Why not include the skill queue?

Could be good for general QOL. Turning the skill queue into an overview filter style would be awesome actually.

I usually leave you guys be with whatever explanations you come up with for not fixing what's broken. Not this time, though.

That answer is complete BS. It's the kind of thing people from your plumber to the president say as an excuse when no better explanation can be made. "We're doing this because we care about you", instead of just coming out with the real answer. Probably something along the lines of, "No one currently working here has a clue how to code this without breaking the rest of the game."

Shame on you, CCP.

I don't know. A while. Click the little gear next to the filter box on your skill sheet.

I like this proposal regardless of context. Being able to sift through skills with filters is useful.

I must be doing something wrong then because I've been injecting skill books like crazy. The ability to inject them without have the prerequisites is godsend! Having the full spectrum of available skills at my disposal saves me the long trips to a school station.

About 154 skill books injected. Send help!

Seriously??

What happened to the "cold, harsh world" line? You know, the line I always got when I'd fat-finger a trade order and lose a few bill to a bad order entry mechanic, for example...

Because the "cold, harsh world" of a GM's job is already difficult as it is. Poor brave souls fight an uphill battle against the onslaught of cries for help that echo in the freezing hell that is the Help Desk. And if you haven't heard, they all have been incredibly swamped these past few days.

Even telling dumb tickets to go suck on a lemon takes valuable time that could be used to help people that really need it.
