Just notice something about the Scorpion's hull

There are 12 turret slots on the Scorpion hull model (4 on the top, 2 on each side, and 4 at the buttom). Each time you fit a turret on, it will fill 2 slots.
However, none of the ships we can fly with a Scorpion hull can fill all the 12 slots. Rattlesnake and Widow cannot fit turrets. Scorpion and Navy Scorpion can fit only 4 turrets, which can fill 8 slots.

So, I guess only the NPC can fill all 12 slots. The Caldari Custom ships at the stargate, each of them fill their Scorpion with 6 425mm Railguns. :) Big smileBig smileBig smile

its for variety

put the module in different hislots and the turret will appear on a different part of the ship

put them where you think it looks best

Or, perhaps they were thinking ahead in that it takes much less time to throw a new skin on a new Scorpion variant and give it six turrets than it would take to redo the model.

That design decision was good, because a turret in the upper front can't really shoot to the lower back. So you need a turret there too. But not all turrets fire at the same time, so all is fine.

also, the gurista's rats that are in scorpions use the turret hardpoints.

Pretty sure the customs ship has eight turrets fitted. Four on the top, four on the bottom, four on both 'wingtips' for a total of 16. Of course, as Luba noted, each turret appears in two spots on opposite ends of the ship so it can fire in all directions. So they have the max of eight.

It would be nice if they did release some nice missile launchers, personally I was thinking that static launchers would be a nice start, and keep the missile functions and effects as they are... just for simplicity, I am not a big fan of lag and I think that while they are nice to think of realism always takes a backseat to function, and missile combat = zoomed out, way out.. so does fleet work... so to me it is a nice while I am in hangar or flying non-combat that I might like to see them on the ship, no need to do all that fancy smancy stuff, I hardly look at my new other turrets, other then once in a while while ratting... not in PvP... that would be pointless...

Oh and Minnie's need to be RED, NOT BROWN!!!!... *facepalms on new Tornado* .,.. Turd Brown is not a good color for anything in space... I can hear it now:

"In space, no one can hear you flush" (fart, shart, crap, dump a load, etc... pick you choice on new minnie colors... Ugh

I wish...i really really wish they would add multiple missile launch points and missile launcher hardpoints. Does anyone know why they havn't?

Maybe it is because in the future, missile silos will replace missile launchers. In fact, in the real world, you can see navy missile destroyers or frigates are using more missile silos instead of traditional missile launchers.
