I have a character with 5.7m SP. I wanted to drain them, and can open up the Skill Extractor, fill up the skills to 500k, and hit Create.

It then says this:

"The request for skill extraction failed verification. Please try again."

Any ideas on what the idea is here? It used to tell me I needed at least 5,500,000 to initiate, which I now have. I've drained already about 40m from various alts with no issues, even when the final result leaves then under 5.5m sp so I am at a loss here as to what the deal is. I tried starting/stopping training queue, getting in and out of ship, rebooting, picking different skills, etc.

Googling didn't help find any reference to this error message either.

Any help is appreciated, trying to get rid of my alts and the one regarding this issue expires today :)

Are you extracting PI / Cybernetics ? you need to remove implants and delete your planets before

Nope just leadership skills that have no dependencies. The other leadership skills I had drained from had no issues either. It's very strange.

I have the same issue, I've tried on 2 different computers, 4 different clients, old and new launchers, two-factor authentication. Nothing I can do client-side has worked.

Right now though, I've only seen this problem on characters that have been transferred, as I am inferring Miss "Capsule Collector" received their soon to be brain goo character.

Well good to know I'm not the only one seeing this message :)

However all the characters I'm draining I have had for several years or am the original owner of, and had previously drained them all under 5.5m with no problems at all.

I then waited a few days till one of them was past 5.5m and am now encountering this issue. My other 2 characters aren't back up to 5.5m yet so I can't tell if it's affecting them all or if this is an isolated issue.

I tried just about everything, including destroying my implants in case that was conflicting as previously mentioned. And the character I was attempting to drain never did PI so that would not be an issue either. Very frustrating since I was hoping to consolidate these toons and one of them expires in about 5h now.

I took a snapshot of what happens everytime and to illustrate no implants. I had not had problems extracting my others skills from this same Leadership section previously but now no matter what I choose it ends up doing this same thing now.

Yep, that's what my error with over 20mil sp looks like, and a friend with 90+ mil sp. So all three of us have the same error. It's really annoying because I have a whole corp on hold until I get the sp put on my other character.

I just figured it out. Cixi actually pointed me in the right direction.

With their advice I had jumped out of my clone and assumed that was ruled out, but then the logic hit me.

My old clone that I jumped out of has implants in it that could not be re-equipped after this attempted drain, so it would technically allow me to jump back into that clone without the skills. That is what this cryptic error was trying to tell me lol.

Once I destroyed all my clones completely, now it works!

I hope this is the case for you as well :)

I too, am getting this error. In a clone with two +5s, not trying to remove cybernetics or anything, just shield emissions and other unrelated skills.

Tried with training paused/active
Using latest launcher

"The request for skill extraction failed verification. Please try again." and the button text is continually loading. Have waited a day or so and it hasn't sorted itself out.

if one of your clones has a mindlink, it is the reason most likely
also, if you extract PI and get the error, check your colonies

In my case I got this error because I still had the skills I was extracting in queue. Specifically, I had removed them from the queue, but forgot to clic "Apply" in the queue.

Maker sure that the skill is removed from the queue first.
