How do you work kill rights to make them effective?

The only evidence you have played in the last 5 years on zKillboard is a pod kill in October, almost 4 months ago. No ship kill, just a pod.

I am trying to figure how that would happen. You undocked in a pod and then what? Autopiloted to Jita when a suicide ganker decided to kill your pod for giggles? You know that shuttles align and warp faster than pods right?

That's very rich coming from a 2004 character with a total of five entries on their killboard (all losses too I might add).

An Iteron V + Pod in 2007.

Another Itty V in 2013, this one was completely un-tanked and horrifically overloaded, ganked in Urlen.

A rather nice Tengu + Pod on January 7, 2016 in Uedama. How on earth did you manage to get ganked in that Tengu in Hisec? Incidentally, what's with carrying the combat probes when you only have a core probe launcher? It doesn't make sense..... How did you manage to lose that Pod? That very nice pod with the full rack of +5s?

For someone who claims to have been playing since 2004 (and has a character from that year with no 'For Sale' threads on the character bazaar), you constantly ask the most newb of questions.

Now, don't bother trolling my killboard for info on me. This is my forum main/TMC nom de plume, not my combat alt.

I've found that sometimes people will gladly pay 10m to activate a KR on a -10 character flying around low sec in a rookie ship.

I'm going to make fun of your experience while simultaneously not showing you any of mine.

After experimenting for a few weeks I have found that setting KR cost proportional to the ship they fly to be pretty effective.

For example, one guy who took a shot at me TWICE with a Tornado (80M) I put a KR up for few million and he just erased it. So, I put the second one up for Ƶ 150M and his reaction has been to log off permanently for 3 weeks. So, I guess I would consider that effective. I guess he would rather not play for a month than go to Jita in a Tornado with a 150M KR on it. Maybe if I made the KR, say 25M, he would have paid it.

Based on this, I guess the idea is to scale it up based on the type of ship the player flies. So for example, if he flies a 500M ship, then make a KR of around 150M if you want to be paid off, and 500M if you want to torment him.

It's entirely possible that his pet hamster died and he is grieving, rather than you setting a KR for 150m that scared him off.

Perfection is a dish best served like wasabi .
