So it was a regular day in new eden. Im heading to jita for the first time so i go to a station after arriving. I saw a bunch of mobile depos or whatever they're called for a christian cross with some names which i believe are quotes from the bible.( Im posting this while its happening). There is also one called hitler did nothing wrong. What is going on. Somebody tell me.

I was going to put this as a new topic but I'll just toss my weekend observation into this threads 'weird' bucket as well. I didn't make it all the way to Jita (thank heavens, hear it was a zoo!) but I did cruise through Uedama several times. What was up with all the traffic and people going nuts over the Sivala gate?

I saw tons of Oblisks and other large escorted convoys as well as a bunch of scanner players around the gates. It was like madness yesterday. Did I miss some event announcement? Just someone 'in the know' passing on inside info about the convoys?

Someone tried to warp scram me jumping in from Sivala in my little Atron (running empty). Had to laugh, I had nothing of real value on the ship (just some railgun charges for my rails in the cargo bay). Lucky when I'm set up for quick runs like I was I have two stabilizers on board.

So, I don't get the behavior, Uedama is still HiSec at the gates and stations, who tries to lock up and attack an empty micro frigate? I mean scrams count as offensive behavior don't they? Maybe I'm missing some loophole in the rule.

As far as preachy mobile depot names go, you can name them anything I think. I'm not entirely sure but I think you can also name containers.

I do know that if I running around in my pod, I'll name it something either micro small like a "." or something totally wrong like "Ghengis Buns Dominix", sometimes all you need is that half second of indecision to get out of a jam! Pirate

M-Depo "art" can range from whitty sayings to giant knobs, much like graffiti .

Report anything along the lines of holocaust denial or racism , that **** is well out of order and has no place here.

The thing with micro frigates is they align so fast that the pirates don't have time to scan your cargo beforehand, to make a decision. And there have been so many instances of shuttles or fast atrons piloted by "newbie" characters flying around with PLEX, Blueprint originals, implants, or millions of ISK in salvage, that the pirates are willing to take a chance.

Basically, kill all fast frigates / shuttles. If even one of them drops the PLEX, that will make their day.

Welcome to the home of literally every troll on the internet; a major market hub, and THE major market hub at that. Please, mind the bull**** and watch your step.

(not really, but it sure feels like that at times)

Also, if it does seriously becomes bothersome, screen cap and petition it and have CCP take a look at it (if they haven't already noticed it yet). Let them take the necessary actions should it come to that. People sometimes like to put up religious billboards and ads in Eve all the time. Personally, it's rude to do that and doesn't belong in a video game, but then again I'm only one Eve citizen.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

It's called trolling. Trolling is intended to cause a reaction. In this case, it seems to have worked.

Ah, that sort of makes sense. However, if I were actually hauling that kind of stuff I'd be in a Ares and stable as heck and almost unlockable. I also wouldn't haul it through a choke point like Uedama during normal US gaming hours.

I was still jump cloaked as well, so I was also surprised that you can lock up someone under cloak. I didn't start to decloak until I was already warping to the next gate. I've gotten pretty fast at transitions. I'm always going to pick up skill books from here or there to inject new skills.

You can't , the cloaking gfx are misleading , cloaks are binary eg on or off, the second you issue a command you drop cloak and are lockable, the gfx of the cloak are irrelevant.

You were viewing it upside down. It's actually Kylo Ren's handicap-lightsaber.

There was a guy who used to drop cans with Bible verses at every gate in my region. It was annoying af just for their immersion-breaking quality. You'd go to church every time you flew to Amarr. But short of wardeccing the corp and destroying them, which is what happened to those, I'm not sure what else you can do about it.

Uedama is pretty much the ganking capital of highsec these days, you'll find CODE. and Goons ganking freighters in that area regularly.

What they're really after is your juicy pod inside, which could be worth billions. If you use autopilot, you're a target.

Quotes on cans are one thing but this is just stupid. I surely do not want Christian iconography larger than a station to remain floating in space indefinitely. Hopefully someone will destroy these things after they come out of reinforced mode.

Yea to be fair, I doubt they'll last long... which is why I didn't report it. And, in Jita, it looks like players are already anchoring more depots to turn the cross into a different shape until the timers expire.

Still pretty stupid. Players shouldn't have to be proselytized to visit a trade hub.

Not sure I'd consider just viewing a cross or seeing bible references as being proselytized. I mean if a player types in local "Allah Akhubar" in local before they try to blow me out of space am I supposed to take that as "Convert or Die" or just "Die in the name of my God" or something? Most things we see in this world are a function of our own perception. Generally speaking, if you are strong enough in your sense of self and what you believe in, nothing anyone else did in front of you or to you would have any real impact on who you were or what you believed. In other words, we choose to allow stuff to bother us or not, regardless of someone else's intent or perceived intent.

Thank you so much! I didn't know that. I was misled by the effect in assuming there was a period of sensor 'fuzziness'.

Man, how do we newbies even survive this stuff! LOL! Shocked
