So to start, I enjoy hunting players in null, but I also do like to pve and mine, so I do understand that delayed local is bad for the economy of null, and no local would just be wormholes with gates and I don't want to take anything special from those areas.

So instead of delayed local or anything along the lines of removal. CCP makes it so you only appear in local chat after breaking your gate cloak.

- The main reason I feel this is necessary is, most people don't have grid loaded before they appear in local, giving the residents a massive advantage when it comes to avoiding pirates.
-This change doesn't prevent local from showing who's there and making null mining and rating more dangerous. It levels the playing field so you wont know some one is in your system until they are capable of controlling their ships.
-This change doesn't require a massive rework on ccps part as it just requires them to tie local to gate cloak. (Disclaimer: im not a dev so I have no idea how hard it would really be)

Ill take it. But really id prefer no local.

i would just like to point out that wormholes work on delayed local not no local



as to the idea i have no opinion other than lets wait to see CCPs ideas on the Intel structures

do they, I have been afk in local in whs for hours before and never shown up? sorry im just confused by your statement

You don't show up in local unless you actually say something. That is why WH corps do not speak in local, until the "GF" part. We generally don't want to give free intel, unlike with null/ls/hs. Local is also only populated for players that are currently in system, if a new player enters after something has been said they wont see who anyone in the local list, as far as I know.

You should also not show up in local when you are cloaked, in a cloaky ship.

Then, the Locos won't be so uppity when you are there and they can't find you, because you are AFK getting a cheese burger, or maybe not....

I support not showing up in local until you break your gate cloak. It rewards active scouts.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Personally, I'd prefer something similar to wormhole local as well, but I'll take what we can get. Gate cloak delayed local is better than instant intel local like now.

Yeah, I was talking around with few of my null miners and they said no local would kill null mining. But agreed that being able to get to station before a hunter loads grid is ridiculous
