Hey,

Small request: Can you put a Stack All button in the inventory window? A toggle would be even better. At least put it as a keyboard combo (I assume in General).

Right-click is your friend.

Like I said, a small request. There are enough right click/submenus in the game.

No to the button, yes to the keyboard shortcut. More buttons on screen are bad, more keyboard shortcuts are good

I'd be happy just having it somewhere in the shortcuts.

Some people will argue right clicks, menus and more windows are meant to keep EVE true to its famous learning curve roots.

As EVE is 10+ years old, there are a lot of things that have been the norm. Just the way things are done.

Me personally, I want "easier" "smarter" inventory. If that includes adding s button for "stack all" I would be fine with it.
The major issue right now is window space. We only have so much space and every change seems to make new Windows use more screeb space than the last.

I don't see this. I have pretty much the same windows layout I have used for years. Overview, intel channels stacked, non-intel channels stacked, d-scan, probe scanner stacked with inventory and P&P. Some empty screen space for fleet window, fleet chat, and watchlist. Not really much more you need open on a mostly permanent basis.

OP's suggestion is a prime example of the "have a team of developers spend 6 weeks to make you a featuremthat save .05 seconds." Are you really that lazy?

I think you missed what I was saying

If they add a "stack all" button. It will have a min-defined space. I am like you, got Windows stacked on Windows and maybe 55% of my screen space is for seeing stuff in space (probably closer to 45% after you include the HUD) Adding a button will change the "minimal" window size people are comfortable with.

But any farther talk on this is pointless

Geez, some people just can't be bothered to use a keyboard anymore.

ctrl+click - ctrl+a - right click - stack all/whatever you want to do with the damn things.

its the exact same thing windows uses.

Consider you're posting in a thread where people are whining because a right click -> click action is so difficult that it should be reduced to a single click.

Ah...that's my point exactly. There's no keyboard shortcut for Stack All.

Because there doesn't need to be one. Two clicks of a mouse is too much effort, really?

I would prefer a programmable misc button that I can apply a keyboard shortcut sequence to like select all, in all my hangers , repackage, stack, ignoring all warning prompts, so I get about my business more efficiently.

Then there's no point in any keyboard shortcuts according to your logic....

Really, if it was a rarely used/infrequent command (say open the fuel bay of the current ship Ctrl-F), I could see why you'd be against it. However; a mouse command used by myself dozens if not hundreds of times a day....could have a keyboard shortcut available?

If you think it'd take a team of developers 6 weeks to add a new shortcut entry....
